NFL coaches who are on the hot seat in 2018

In his seven full seasons in Dallas, Garrett has twice saved his job – first with the 12-4 record in 2014 that followed three straight 8-8 seasons, and then with the stellar 13-3 campaign in the 2016 rookie seasons of Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott. Last year’s (still pretty solid) 9-7 campaign comes with an asterisk for the 2-3 mark that came without a suspended Elliott, even though the defense was more at fault in those games than the offense. Jerry Jones has a fondness for Garrett – he had his eyes on him from the moment Wade Phillips started his struggles in Big D – and that’s why the team’s former backup QB survived his 29-27 start. But with the franchise’s two offensive stars entering their third seasons and the Eagles looming as a new NFC East power, Garrett could need to make the playoffs to come back in 2019. (Getting a postseason win, his second, could be necessary too.)

Yeah we don't make the playoffs I think you must to have a whole staff change.
meaning you bring in a college guy with his own people so it all works cohesively.

If we don't have a Superbowl team, and I mean if we aren't playing like we can win the superSupe, then I hope to God we have a ****** year, like 5-11 or lower type of year

Especially if it means higher draft pick and best of all...... no more Garrett

What's the point of playing good or decent if you can't make the Superbowl? **** that

I don't know about a complete overhaul, but I do think most of the coaches will be gone if that happens. I do think we have the next HC on our staff though in Richard.

You might be right, partner. If we continue in mediocrity, I hope you are.

I think the Richard hiring was a shot across the bow, if you will, to Garrett to sort himself out. Richard is a very capable coach, and I do think that he'll become a HC somewhere before too long. My thinking is that it might well be here if Garrett doesn't sort himself out.

Sort himself out? 1 playoff with 2 of the most elite offenses we have ever had?

IMO, Scott Linehan. To a lesser extent JG. If this O stagnates and the play calling within games doesn't flex, Linnehan should be held accountable. as far as JG's input, yes he has a roll in setting up and probably scripting the first 10-15 plays each game and keeping the practices flowing and crisp before games. In game play calling is on Linnehan, that's why he is the OC. We held JG accountable to that when he was OC under Wade and when he was doing both until Linnehan was hired. Scott will either need to adapt and use all the weapons at his disposal or, for me, he's burnt toast. I don't call the shots though

You think the issue is offensive play calling? Because I was thinking it was more either the offensive scheme or the clock management that’s been killing us.

JG is probably the best HC we can have as the Jones family pretty much runs the show!
After watching the All or nothing expect no one better than JG at the STAR!
I mean what qualified coach wants those working conditions?????

A bad year this year and Linehan and Marinelli will be gone. JG would take another 3 years. OC and DC will be scapegoats and then he will get another year pass for the newly installed systems.
