Pete Carroll says he expects Earl Thomas to be back for minicamp

is there a seahawks forum? because Dallas, officially, has said nothing about this player (they can't)...love the player, hate what is perceived to need to be given up for him and THEN have to pay him a king's ransom...no thanx under those conditions unless something changes...

Note: I don't blame the OP, I am just tired of hearing about a player from another team so much

The window of opportunity for him to be a Cowboy slammed shut the second the Cowboys took Connor Williams in the second round.
ET will get a contract extension from the Seahawks and finish his career there.

Probably true, but earl has some leverage with his situation.
Even though he is under contract this season, next year he is not.’
A hold out could spur Seattle to try and trade him for value now instead of letting him walk for a comp pick in 2020.
Or they could run out the clock on him by franchising him next year.

Lots of moves left to be played out.
IMO it will take a 2nd to pry him away.
Then you have the issue of giving up a 2 for a 30 yr old player that just held out for more money.
Seems like a lot to give up. At this pt. I’d see how woods plays this yr and try and sign him next if he is free.

Because news involving a player many want to see wear the star is Cowboy news.
I’m in, let’s get an Aaron Rodgers thread going, his contract is coming up. I believe Harrisons contract is coming up as well, I’d love to see him wearing the star. What about Gronk? Maybe he’ll ditch the Pats next year if Brady leaves and come to Dallas.

Non story.

I believe this has replaced the Adrian Peterson Hysteria of 2015.

AD was certainly a hot topic after his ill advised call to JJ. Of course, that made him coming here impossible due to the tampering rule.

He plays the season out as a Seahawk and leaves via free agency in 2019. Pretty obvious they won't reach an agreement on an extension.

Pete has no control over this sitch. He can say what he wants and spin it...but that doesn't change a thing.
