that is besides the point i was making. Waldo likes to read posts here and at BTB and act like that speculation is somehow reality and a good basis to get outraged about Garrett or Jones or somebody. He does it all the time.

I am with you totally there. No Zeke, no threat for 0 sets.

And yes I optimistically opened this thread thinking it would be a refreshing take or deep exploration of the positions mentioned, instead it was another ode to bashing the coach a year removed from COTY infused with enough fantasy elements to make it seem mystical.

I agree, it's an interesting topic completely ruined by the OP. Perhaps it will be better explored in another thread.
 
Dak friendly means several things. First and foremost, the oline protects him. Secondly, Zeke does his job on and off the field. Lastly, the WR by committee MUST get open and be unselfish. To me, tightend is the last thing I worry about. Although,I must say, I'm really tired of hearing about Rico..good or bad. Just show out or get cut already. Too many maybe's.

some of those include the flagship that is supposed to be around the team

things they did in terms of clock management and having formations with only 1 option (statistically) are just plain dumb. anyone can see that.

the best thing that can happen to the cowboys is for garrett and marinelli to volunteer in Congo and catch ebola.

A TE then must know the plays and if the biggest TE play is Y option they must understand how to read a defense.
In your weird goofball world LeBron James would just show up to Cavs games, get subbed in for 3 or 4 plays as the best mismatch, then go home.
I mean what is the point of practice and knowing plays or how to run a called route if you are a big mismatch? Why not give a guy a roster spot for 3-4 plays a game. After all he was a mismatch....

there are TEs that primarily pass catch and do not get wasted in run blocking. we keep typically 4 TEs so certainly you have enough numbers for a specialist.
lebron james has not come into camp and do what rico has done, even if it is against backups.

2. they dont take advantage of pass receiving TEs like the way they run plays out of formations that are either pass only or run only

If our coaches were competent, this would not be an issue.

But we have Garrett...

We failed Dak last year in soooo many ways. The first way we failed him was the oline was weak on the left side,especially at guard. It proved to be our downfall as the season went. Dak was harassed all year. The play calling and personel packages Linehan used was weird...he gave no help many times..or simply had too many brain farts ...I dunno what his deal was,but he took a step back with the play calling etc. That must be better.Zeke of course getting suspended did Dak no favors. Witten couldn't get down the field..it was simply hard to watch at times..so that position was pretty much an issue. Dez was Dez...meaning,if his heart was in it...he was good to go,but if his head WASN'T in the game,he went awol. The latter was the case last year,more times than not. Despite all of this..Dak almost got this team into the playoffs..its pretty remarkable if you stop and think about it. We were 1 game away from sneaking in. I have reason to be hopeful this year,based off of that.
