The curious case of the complete TE and the 1tech

Garretts loyalty and unadulterated bullheadedness pertaining to Chaz Green will be his own undoing if he is fired. Its called square peg round hole syndrome. That why I loved Jimmy Johnson so much...he wasn't afraid to move on from a guy..thus admitting a mistake..even if he drafted them...or traded for them..see John Roper.

Jimmy was the best

We have been told that:
1. Rico is the best receiving TE on the team
2. Rico is bad at run blocking, whatever that means
3. Rico is a major mismatch in the passing game

So now we hear:
1. Rico may not be a good route runner - than what about our other TEs?
2. Rico said himself that he is run blocking is not his strong suit
3. Cowboys supposed to be going to more multi-receiver Dak friendly sets.

So how are we supposed to know with Garrett the moron:
1. the pursuit of the perfect TE is going the same way as the Marinelli (moron #2) 1Tech.
2. they dont take advantage of pass receiving TEs like the way they run plays out of formations that are either pass only or run only

If our coaches were competent, this would not be an issue.

But we have Garrett...

Rico is a natural basketball player. His idea of of a football move is pick and roll and that's to get free as a pass catching TE. Yep, down the sidelines to the end zone is where he fits. We have WR's who do that. Yes, he has good hands as a pass catcher and he's as big as they come BUT he is incredibly unrefined as a football player. Why wouldn't he be? He never played football. There was no risk in drafting him late. The risk is putting him on the field unprepared for football. He has taken one big hit in football and was seriously concussed by it

yea we do have wrs that can do that but do not represent the same mismatch.
rico is taller and is 'always' open given his height and size.
lb's have trouble keeping up, while db's are too weak.
we could simply line him up wide out where the blocking is much less of an issue.
instead it seems like our way or the highway - consistent with coaches who are inflexible and stuck on their ^#$&$ scheme.
