For the record, I disagree 100% with Deion.

For more reasoning why I disagree, refer to my other thread.

Your boy Bleu

"Let's just apologize and say, 'Dez, I'm sorry. I made a mistake. Come on back,'" Sanders said during a Tuesday guest appearance on 105.3 The Fan. "You didn't know Jason Witten was getting ready to [retire]. You didn't know this knucklehead [Terrance Williams] was getting ready to do what he did [when he] got out of the car and [ran] out of the Lamborghini. Who leaves the scene of a crime with a Lamborghini? Let bygones be bygones, bring the dude back and let's move on."

Nope. Ain't happening Deion. We going to sink or swim with the new guys.

For better or worse.... I do appreciate his point of view though. I think if they knew Witt was gonna retire and Twill was gonna be a buffoon Dez would still be here for at least this year.

Maybe Jerry would of had more pull to keep Dez(jmo), but I think Stephen and Linehan wanted Dez out.
I still think Dez goes though, even if Wit retired before he was cut. Think it was to clean house.

Deion would want Dallas to make that decesion for the networks sake. That move alone would generate major headlines for sport talk shows, podcast, and other various plateforms across the board to create their own narrative.

Notice how TO went down the reality TV route once he left the NFL? The same person that say’s “I can fill seats at 44 and still move the chains” is really saying controversy sells and I can bring controversy while also catching a few passes.

Everything TO did that brought attention was calculated.

I don’t believe Wit had any effect whatsoever on the Dez decision. And I also believe they did know Wit was going to retire. I just don’t believe that how Wit is as a person or so I think, he would just up and retire. Hell the guy was interviewing for a commentators job two months before the draft.

I'm the biggest Dez homer I know, but even I know this ship has sailed. You absolutely cannot bring him back at this point. It would be one step forward and two steps back in terms of drama added to this team and locker room.

Those jobs don’t come up often and when they do and you’re invited to interview you do it. I believe they were absolutely blindsided on the Witt retirement just by the emotion displayed when he actually did retire. I think Dez would still be around if they knew in advance that Witt was hanging them up. This is a huge gamble with the lack of experience they have at the TE/WR position. If they knew Witt was gonna retire they would’ve made a better attempt at bringing in more talent at the TE position.
