My favorite crackhead Matt Sweeney. Guitar Moves. His Youtube interviews are legendary @YosemiteSam @BrAinPaiNt

Here he is with Josh Homme. He is so cringey and ridiculously entertaining. His St. Vincent interview is so uncomfortable and delicious. She damn near walks out on him as he crackhead strums along to her weirdness, with his weirdness, and his displaced meth-energy twitchy fingers.

Every. Interview. Dude. Is. Gacked.

All of his interviews are 10/10 fun and brilliant. Guitar Moves on Youtube.

So guys check this out:

And then watch this amazing young lady do it all herself; her name is Josie Charlwood and she's a guilty pleasure (think Stephen King for literary snobs) for a lot of audiophiles I know:

Awesome! Also, I love that track. MGMT have a few tracks I really enjoy.

MGMT are a great band, my brother. :) It's crazy how they went full hook-driven in their first LP (2007/08 release) to the almost shoegaze-psychedlic sound they have now. They said that their record label wanted more of Oracular Spectacular but they thought it a one-off sound/experiment. And they were drugged to the heavens during the recording, and half the album is about drugs. Congratulations, onwards, is a whole different sound for them, nothing like their debut. They didn't sell nearly as many records after OS. Oracular Spectacular is edge of your seat hooks, everything after is a slow burn. Which is fine, but hard to adjust to when one is expecting more of that sound that launched them. They felt uncomfortable, tho, and wanted to distance themselves from "the mainstream." Their initial success really got to them. And they hated Columbia who just wanted to pump out money. Sub Pop would have been a much better label for them, imo.

When I get depressed about their shift in music (MGMT, 2013 release, is so stripped down and raw and further distancing themselves from O. S.) I listen to M83. This one is really good and you've surely heard it, Slammed. I thought that MGMT was headed into this sound, and maybe that's what they wanted, but they aren't pulling it off, imo. Here's M83:

Your ability to expound upon music is a nice thing to read. Your palate is enjoyably diverse.
Pray, continue.

A) I like that!!! Can't say I have listened to M83 though I almost want to say I have heard of them.

B) That beat from the first link you sent me, crazy, there is a song by a group called Kill Paris that uses it. I love this song!!!

Brother, at 1:15/2:50, my head starts bopping forward and back! Real groovy, man. There's a (early) Chvrches/The Knife vibe with this track. And of course, definitely hear the M83 in the intro part. Love it!

Thanks for sharing, as always, Slammed, my brother :star::starspin:

Why thank you, Corso, that's high praise and means a lot, coming from a mind such as yourself, my brother. Blessings to you, mang :star::starspin:

Absolutely! That's what I love about this thread is sharing and finding music!!! I definitely give a listen to a lot of what is shared here.

All is well. About to go on another "tour" in two weeks... not looking forward to it.
