News: Offensive struggles in training camp

No it isn’t common. It is common for a fan to watch a few highlights and come away believing something that’s not true based on a few highlights.

Not being able to score a TD in practice isn't common either...

Wait and watch this place implode after the first preseason game. Our first team will run a series and will be a 3 and out.

The defense has me excited for sure.
I like to recall the general theme in the off season. Got to get the recievers up to speed. Well
that appears to be the case. As far as Red zone maybe their working on what needs fixing.
Loads of changes were made

Going into camp, I was psyched about the talent and depth at corner and defensive end, and optimismtic at linebacker with all the blue chippers. Safety and defensive tackle had me concerned. The team seems to have found some players at DT in Price and Ward. It wouldn’t shock me if they started all season with Irving being rotated in like Leon Lett of yore. Safety still worries me, but the defense has the potential to make a pretty big jump this year.

Defensive success when there is no threat of being tackled hard or even hit and that too in week 1 of training camp? You guys can spin anything...
Offensive struggles when a touch on the QB's shoulder equals a sack? Seems the spin is mutual, IMO.

Offenses are always behind early and we can ignore it--it is why preseason games are low-scoring snooze fests.

Somehow I remember the media talking about how Romo and Rodgers had a great practice where the ball only touched the ground once or twice.

OXNARD, CALIF.
Through one full week of Dallas Cowboys training camp, the offense remains a work in progress. Quarterback Dak Prescott and the first-team
offense have yet to throw a touchdown pass in team or 7-on-7 work.

Well maybe he can surpass his record of 15 Quarters without a TD .....at least its practice and it won't count....omg
Maybe Dak needs to just knock off a little rust or maybe they need to practice more redzone work.

Isnt it common for QBs to actually go most of practice without the ball hitting the ground. I have watched a few Dak highlights and it looks like he is staring down his intended target.

John Madden used to talk about the Cowboys practices when that happened. He was amazed with Aikmen's accuracy.

TE should have been higher on our priority list. Even if we where going to keep witten one more year.

At least get the name right. He's only a Cowboys legend.

Hopefully it’s the D that’s vastly improved. This will only help our offense get better.

I’d actually be more concerned if the offense was tearing the defense apart in TC.

Understand the first two statements here .......but damn that last one doesn't sound like an offensive coor with a lot of confidence

“We are not where we want to be. We have to have better execution on offense,” offensive coordinator Scott Linehan said. “We are still a work in progress and we are making strides but we have to make strides here quickly. Hopefully, we will be putting that ball in the end zone a lot this year.”
