Here’s a fun little design. Zeke motions in from out wide. Play action fake to Tavon Austin and a pitch inside to Zeke #cowboyswire pic.twitter.com/hlYbeaJixn

The coaches need this time more thn the players. Lets see them tune things up and make the adjustments. this is what i want to see.

Starting to see some plays that will light up defenses this year. Scott can be a genius, and hopefully a good play caller, this will be fun.

I see Bo as someone who struggles to make the practice squad. I don't see what purpose he serves on this roster.
I said this when he was drafted and was told I was crazy...

Maybe, but he sure has power. When he ran through that RB drill he was the only one that those things did not slow down (sorry, I don't know what that thing is called)

I really thought we would be hearing more about BO. Maybe he plays well in preseason.

Then are Rod Smith and Bo Scarbrough both necessary for the roster?

Smith is more versatile than Bo so I don't see Bo making the roster over second chance 6th rounder Jackson.

I see it as possible. Jackson is more useful today, but already has 2 accrued seasons. Having the rights to Bo for 4 seasons is a plus in his column.

The problem with Bo is he really struggles to learn playbooks and blocking assignments. Not the brightest bulb in the pantry.

He'll either make the roster or he won't. There's a particular extent of talent there to be utilized.

Whether the Cowboys eventually decide to take advantage of it or not is yet to be determined.

We have an abundance of it in Zeke, Rod Smith and Jamize Olawale. He now provides depth.

I said the same, PS player at best. Same as Darius Jackson last year. Though I think he kept him as Zeke insurance, not knowing when that was going to happen, plus DMC was on NFI and once activated, DJ was released.

I think Bo will make the PS just as a body at RB, but you can see why he fell to the 7th. I'm absolutely fine with picking him up at that juncture, but with no blocking, little receiving, and no ST value, it's gonna be hard for him to crack the bottom of the roster.

Morris was a similar type of runner-only RB, but he had three 1000 yards seasons under his belt, so that made eating up that roster spot a little easier to handle.

As far as Rod, he's a replacement-level runner, but he carries a ton of value as a reserve because he can block, catch, play FB, and play special teams. While Zeke is healthy, he's one of your core guys on ST. If Zeke is out, he can basically run your full playbook without being a total liability.

There are a 100 RBs like Rod Smith.he is nothing special.

Completely disagree.

Rod Smith can catch, carry the ball, he blocks well, and is one of our better ST players. I think he comes close to making the roster for his ST value alone and he's gonna be a really good RB this year. We're lucky to have him and someone probably gives him a decent contract we can't afford at the end of the season.
