It makes sense. Coen had Evans in TB. Tet's not the same player, but still. If they do, I'd put a lot of money on Golden as our pick.

Here are some things I know for a fact.

Only 32 players will be taken in the 1st round. When you sum up all the conjecture about who will be first round picks there are about 45 guys who will be drafted in the first round according to analysts.

Only 11 players will be picked before Dallas. Getting the12th best player, or someone even better if another team reaches for a player, should improve the team.

If there is a run on QB, WR, RB, CBs and DEs, then good players at other positions will fall to the 2nd round. We should hope for a run on QBs, OTs, and DEs in the first.

When the draft is over, and we assess our selections, keep in mind all 32 teams just drafted players too. Everyone thinks their draft is full of gems, at least until September.

Something I think:

I don't think any of the DTs in this class are clearly dominant players. That doesn't mean someone won't emerge in the pros, but there are a lot of DTs not separated by much. At the same time, that group is better than average. This is real need for Dallas and they should take advantage of it. If they draft 3 DTs this year, it will be a good thing. This class has a group of huge dudes who can play. Get one at least. And then find a more athletic guy. Do not assume any of the free agents Dallas signed will even make the team. Think Jordan Phillips.

The same is true at RB. Take 2 and don't look back.

I see it.

I have much more faith of him turning into a run/rush DE than I do Kneeland.

Folks focus too much on DTs stopping the run when you need your DEs to be able to play the run, hold the edge too.

I think that’s a sound theory. The Jaguars traded away WR Christian Kirk as well so there’s an opening there.

Yeah man, to me they have talent at RB. They should concentrate on other positions. But I know next to nothing.

I've been on mykel for awhile. Knew he wouldn't test that great but if he hits on the field, his intangibles is what this soft team needs.

Yeah, ultimately, the 'value' is the thing for this team; these guys are nuts for it.

DTs clearly undervalued as normal so the DE thing is no surprise. I really want two DTs high in this draft; and one of them a NT.

Walter Nolen and Tyliek Williams would be a dream come true.

I believe Jeanty could be a possibility because Trevor E. and Tank B. have been inconsistent. The question is which one would be on the trade block. Dallas liked Bigsby.

I wouldn’t hate doing that, because he may eventually end up being a top five player in this draft, but they think this weekend is going to put them over the top to winning it all, so don’t expect it.

Not a fan of this. I like the player, but he's coming off a knee injury and like five good games. Not to mention, we just drafted a LT in round last year. Don't think that's very smart team building at all.
