From what I've heard from people that have been there. I've never been to a game in cowboys stadium I live in Jersey. The crowd is too nice. I hear no other team fans are heckled or booed or anything. I know what im getting into when I go to eagles or giants games with a cowboys jersey on. Jerry also doesn't care about winning, he wants money so he doesn't care that other team's fans will fly across the country to pay to watch a game in his "entertainment" center. I mean where are all the football dads that go crazy for the high school football games that I hear are the biggest in the country.

Thats the problem. Our fan base are mostly a bunch of clueless, happy go lucky, sunday funday types. And the HC is a turd so he simply pats fannies at home games expecting them to be grown men and come out and fight hard.

Because the NFL has become too expensive for most fans like me, many of the season ticket holders are corporations, not actual fans. I believe that explains why the fan enthusiasm is very lacking at Cowboys home games. Too many people are there to be seen instead of being fans.

I’ve been to Cowboys home games since I was six years old when my dad took me to several games at the Cotton Bowl. I also attended games at Texas Stadium and I’ve been to one Cowboys home game at the new “stayjum”. Although AT&T is a nice facility, it’s not really built to be a home field advantage. It was built to make money for the Jones family.

I’ve seen college and HS games at AT&T and it can be loud. But again, at Cowboys home games, the “corporate crowd” are not that into making noise. And some of the season ticket holders will sell their tix to fans of our opponents. I’m amazed at how many opponents fans are at our home games. It sux.

That explains why the Cowboys have the 6th best road record during that same time period.

I have one set of tickets that helps subsidize my better set of tickets. I go to about 6-7 games a year, plus playoffs.

What ticks us off is having to pay full price for preseason. That's just not right. The PSLs should cover those, or at least make it so that we don't have to buy them at all. The Cowboys should sell those outright as stand-alone games.

It's the same with Yankee stadium now. Theres a huge section on the lower levels that is all corporate. Being at a few games in those sections, got those tickets from a couple connects. It's people that show up halfway through the game, talking with groups of people about anything but the game. They barely watch and leave early.

That and our defense doesn't create turnovers either.

The Dallas D generates turnovers at roughly the same rate home and away. It should be better at home, but it's not. If we look at turnovers committed by the Dallas offense, fumbles are even home and away, but high numbers of INTs seem to be closely tied to home losses. Anytime in 2009-2017 when Dallas has a team INT PCT of 3.1% or greater on passes at home, they had a below average home record.
Those years were 2010, 2012, 2014, 2015, and 2017. Dallas won 50% or less of home games in those years and had a INT % of 3.1 at home each of those years.
In the years 2009, 2011, 2013, and 2016, Dallas won 71% of home games, which is way above average, and had an INT % of 2.5 or less at home each of those years.

Another thing that exists far less than in the past is the advantage of weather. No one wanted to play the Vikings in Metropolitan Stadium late in the year.

This is true. Even for as much credit as eagles fans get for their home crowd (deservedly so). I know a few eagles season ticket holders that sell tickets to 2-3 games a year to recoup some of the money they spend on tickets. And they will sell to rival fans if needed to do it.

Oh yeah - for sure. Carolina, especially, because most of the PSL owners can pay for their entire season ticket packages by just selling their Dallas game tickets.

Then we all flood in and raise hell.

Yep. Old Yankee stadium was an intimidating place to play. It got extremely loud and was a great homefield advantage. The new one is stale and very corporate. Although they have won a World Series in it. I believe the same year they opened it. Which is more than the Cowboys can say.

We just discussed this a month or so ago and the most remarkable thing about it is in the past 4 years, there is only a 3% difference in how they perform as an underdog on the road and as a favorite at home .Not against the spread just straight up. Both right above 50%.

You left out one VERY important factor.

It's incredibly easy to buy tickets now with NFL Ticket Exchange, Stub Hub, Seat Geek, etc. It used to require connections, scalping, or calls with travel agents, etc.

Now it can be done on your phone in 2 minutes.
