This isn't really true. Twitter is a great medium to get news quickly. Sure there will be misinformation but that goes for any medium of news. Twitter is where news these days breaks. For any type of news be it political, sports, entertainment, etc. It's very useful.

Not sure how connected JJT is, but he’s reporting that Gregory has a friend that stays with Gregory and basically keeps an eye on him. An “accountability” guy JJT calls him.

This is not David Wells, or a Cowboy employee, but a friend of RG. Basically, this guy was unaware of RG’s whereabouts for an extended period last week and it set off alarms. The Cowboys were alerted and nobody knew where RG was or what he was doing during this timeframe.

According to JJT, this what the Lacanfora tweet was all about.

That doesn’t sound good at all. So this “friend” told Lacanfora? Some friends especially if it turns out to be nothing. But I’m a bit worried about where he was, and what he was doing.

Misappropriation and slander/libel laws don't apply to unpublished internet social media.

That is false.

A tweet or Facebook post can cause you to get sued.

It is hard to enforce if the person is a public figure but it can happen.

The public figure would have to prove that the person tweeting knew that it was false.

If you do it to a private entity, then they just need to prove it caused them harm. It does not matter if you knew it was false or not.

That's not entirely correct.

The guy that is with him is part of the NFL's condition of treatment. JJT said he was more of a friend than anything else. That's not a hand selected buddy. It is a league approved watchdog.

As I've noted before. Sometimes a young, high profile athlete might want a little alone time without his dorky buddy ruining the vibe. This could be nothing more than Gregory wanting to get with the ladies
