What are your weird likes or dislikes?

I posted in another thread and it got me thinking that it would be fun for everyone to share their weird likes and dislikes.

By weird I mean where something you like is normally something that most people dislike or where something you dislike is normally something that most people really like.

For example, I have never drunk coffee in my life. Not even once. I have made coffee for others and I enjoy the smell of fresh-brewed coffee, but I have never drunk it myself. Why? Because I do not like hot drinks and never did even as a kid.

What are your weird likes or dislikes?

I dislike people making my coffee that don't drink it. I don't trust them. Why aren't they drinking it? What did they put in it?

• I won't drink milk (not that I normally do as an adult) from someone else's house. I'm pretty sure it derives from watching my dad drink milk straight from the carton growing up and assuming everyone else did too.
• I don't like eating watermelon unless it's cold and I know it was just freshly cut; nothing worse than warm mealy watermelon.
• I actually prefer cheap box mac n'cheese (ie. powder stuff).
• I like the smell of fresh unsmoked cigarettes in the carton.

With you on that melon thing, any melon. Took me a long time to get used to room temp tomatoes.

I use Cinnamon toothpaste and Citrus Listerine to prevent being forced to accept that punishment.

You are the second person I know like that. My office manager in OK would not even be in the room with it.

Nauseates me to smell it.

I can eat "some types of fish", shrimp and lobster tail. The rest of the lobster tends to make me nauseated. I cannot eat any squid or octopus. The smell definitely nauseates me also.

I enjoy scallops and some crab makes me sick while most crab cakes I can eat without issue. Clams are good too.

I don't think it tastes like mint as much as liquorice which I don't like either. That said, my love of root beer came from eating a Mazzio's Pizza back in the 80s and 90s. Their pizza was really greasy and it (pepperoni pizza anyhow) blended very well with root beer. I really don't drink soft drinks very often, but when I have pizza. I will always make an exception if root beer is available. (well, if it's pepperoni pizza anyhow)

Root beer is awesome! It's like birch beer, with less bite....tastes nothing like mint.

I dislike tomatoes. Just looking at sliced tomatoes will make me want to hurl. On the other hand, I like ketchup--especially Heinz. I also enjoy stewed tomatoes.
