Cowboys vs Panthers win or lose?

Will Marinelli keep a spy [JSmith] on Cam? Will the Panthers pick on Robinson?
We will pressure no doubt about that. Can Looney and CWilliams contain the gap?
24/17
who is robinson?

I say we lose because its hard to gauge playing a mobile QB first game on the road with almost no play time for starters in preseason, IE rust..Fredrick will be missed and we lose a heart breaker as usual 21-19 but could have won but Maher misses a game winning 47 yarder with no time left and the CZ threads break the internet on Dan Baily being Cut..

Perfect scenario for the detractors.. :)

We will have trouble scoring all season: Panthers 27, Cowboys 16. Elliot moves the ball between the 20s, but the Red Zone is the problem again. Rico drops a TD pass and Linehan loses his mind again and again close in.

Very much the way I see it at this point..

If our D doesn't completely control their depleted O line, something is wrong. We have the speed now to shadow Cam & contain CMac. I have trouble seeing offense for them. Potential takeaways for us as they try to force the issue.

We may have to grind out yards on the ground (against their good D), doubt we run at will. Mix in effective passing. Wear them down & out.

Cowboys score at least 27 (maybe as much as 36, potentially a D or ST score). Carolina scores 13 or less (barring D\ST score)

Cowboys are comfortably in the lead by late 3rd & can rotate in a lot of folks for reps & rest starters. Serves as 3rd preseason game. ;)

Panthers 22-19 over the Cowboys. Loss comes due to a missed field goal by Brett Maher. Cowboys fans pull out chunks of their hair in screaming anguish...

I won’t pick the Cowboys to lose but I’ve a bad feeling about this season in general. I just don’t see how the team was improved during the off-season.

I think it will close either way.

I say you could be right, but could be wrong.

First, I don't think Dallas will treat their Wr's like a shiny new toy and force them the ball to use them. That seems like an experiment.
Their style is running, that is what they are good at, and will stick to that. Ball control.
But I do think they take some deep shots more than in the past.

Our D needs to contain Cam, and Jaylon may be that player to "spy" him.
If our D plays like it did in the PS games, I do not see them putting up 27 points on us. If you are using that PS game 3 of the Panthers as a barometer of looking good. Then look at our starting D too, they did not give up any points. And our starting O moved the ball well in the 1st 2 PS games.

I think you are over playing Carolina and under playing Dallas.
Good post Jazz, the thing is I got to see a whole half with carolina starters against a good team in NE.

I remember vaguely dallas , in 1st game 1 drive and they were gone, that was against SF, and dont know if it was their starters or not.,
Same for the next game Cin, not sure if Cin starters were playing.
But yeah they did ok.

Bottom line is Carolina got more practice of value for their starters, in PS than Dallas did, and Dallas guys havent played]
now since week 2 of PS August 18 th.
Cowboys rarely do well after long time off, lost the last 2 season openers too.

I do think they will have big desire to play with new toys, more than run the ball.

With frederick out and martin with possible bad knee, I think that will hurt the run game when used.

I think dallas will try to run early, if they do good they will maybe keep at it, but if not they will get away from the run and pass too much.

Now our def line did look good, but again I dont know if they were starting lines or not.
I need to see them do that in reg season to believe that.
And they might, it would be weird for Dallas to have a really good defense.

And this is just all a prediction, in NFL games you never know, Dallas may win 30-0.

Turnovers will decide this game...I think we get more...Boys 24-17

Well the defense looks better and we will have Zeke the whole year. So that's an improvement. But the backups just aren't any good so we can't have many injuries.

Carolina gave NO everything they could handle in the playoffs last year, while NO was a miraculous play away from the NFC title game.

Cam is tough to bring down as well. Jaylon will have to cover CMC......plus their Oline is hurt but we always find a way to get stonewalled by backups for some reason.

Going to be tough. Can't wait!

Another thing is I dont think hardly any of our players have played in Carolina before, the field will be new to them, that gives another
advantage to Carolina.
I am also curious to see if dallas leads at the half, last year they led at half and then lost many of those games.
Even if Cowboys lose, I think they will get better as season goes along.
They have so many new and young guys, they need time to play together.

They want to make the playoffs then winning NFC games are important. Lose this one and the Giants game is a must.

Panthers 31
Boys 13

Norv unleashes an offense that Cam would have died for in the past .
I forgot about that too, if Norv designs it around Cam and McCaffery, then it could be really good.
Jerry has never offered Norv a job, so I think they dont like each other ??
