I say you could be right, but could be wrong.
First, I don't think Dallas will treat their Wr's like a shiny new toy and force them the ball to use them. That seems like an experiment.
Their style is running, that is what they are good at, and will stick to that. Ball control.
But I do think they take some deep shots more than in the past.
Our D needs to contain Cam, and Jaylon may be that player to "spy" him.
If our D plays like it did in the PS games, I do not see them putting up 27 points on us. If you are using that PS game 3 of the Panthers as a barometer of looking good. Then look at our starting D too, they did not give up any points. And our starting O moved the ball well in the 1st 2 PS games.
I think you are over playing Carolina and under playing Dallas.
Good post Jazz, the thing is I got to see a whole half with carolina starters against a good team in NE.
I remember vaguely dallas , in 1st game 1 drive and they were gone, that was against SF, and dont know if it was their starters or not.,
Same for the next game Cin, not sure if Cin starters were playing.
But yeah they did ok.
Bottom line is Carolina got more practice of value for their starters, in PS than Dallas did, and Dallas guys havent played]
now since week 2 of PS August 18 th.
Cowboys rarely do well after long time off, lost the last 2 season openers too.
I do think they will have big desire to play with new toys, more than run the ball.
With frederick out and martin with possible bad knee, I think that will hurt the run game when used.
I think dallas will try to run early, if they do good they will maybe keep at it, but if not they will get away from the run and pass too much.
Now our def line did look good, but again I dont know if they were starting lines or not.
I need to see them do that in reg season to believe that.
And they might, it would be weird for Dallas to have a really good defense.
And this is just all a prediction, in NFL games you never know, Dallas may win 30-0.
