Good thing we didn’t trade for ET, gonna need that pick

Doesn't matter who we have until Garrett is gone we will get the same results. We have the talent to challenge now and have for the past few years. The problem is and will always be coaching. Garrett couldn't get the probowl teams to win.

If you gave Garrett the all-pro team he would still fail. It's not a Dak issue, or OL issue, or Dez and Witten issue. It's a coaching issue

Be interesting what the new HC and OC wanna do with dak and our offensive players

Could see this whole thing getting blown up and rebuilding

I wanted Earl here bad but it isn't worth losing a high pick over, this team is not a safety away from making a run.

We are so much more than one player away.
We need offensive playmakers in the worst way. Gallup will stick, and one of the TE's may be a contributor, but we need young and talented pass catchers

And thats saying nothing about the possibility we may be in the QB market. Im not writing Prescott off yet, but it is a distinct possibility

Exactly. We'll always be 10 players away with Garrett here
TO, who called out Garrett and the playcalling was the problem. They ran him off. Same results. Pacman Jones wasn't an RKG. Ran him off. Same result. Martellus Bennett was the problem child. Ran him off and he wins a championship elsewhere. We still don't make it out the 2nd round of the playoffs. Now they set Dak up to be the scapegoat. Once Dak gets run off, if Garrett is still here, we're going to see the EXACT same results.

Yep.

That 2nd round pick would've been way too much considering where we'll be picking.

That's the primary reason I'm against giving up high picks for him. We're at least a year away.
No way, we're at least 9 years away. Remember it's a process and Garrett has had 9 seasons and we're about halfway through the process. So I'm thinking years 18-20 will be Garrett's glory years. Just think of what Garrett will do with 9 top 5 picks in each draft. I can hardly contain my excitement. I have my excited face on.

I was thinking the same thing while watching our offense struggle all night. If we gave up our first rounder it may well be #1 overall. We will need draft picks to get a playmaker WR, but the problem is our QB has a hard time getting the ball to the Receivers so I guess that would just be a wasted pick. Maybe we could get another T so our QB can have some more time to look downfield before throwing a waffle. I don't think we would shop for his replacement in the 1st round since he only costs us 630K a year. Pretty smart of the Cowboys saving all that money by cutting our top scorer. We will need that money when we start shopping for some bargain bin FA's.
