The decision to not allow Romo to play again in 2016 will only be able to be truly judged after it is known how the Prescott era plays out. It has a chance to be an historically bad decision. It also has a chance to be the opposite, but I don’t know how great a chance there is for that.
Here we go again someone else who threw Romo under the bus is trying to sugar coat it.

Its not true anyone with half a brain that wasnt drinking the Dak koolaid could see in 2016 Romo should have gone back in. The last 2 seasons gave proved us right.

Receivers were open all game. Troy has to make excuses because he's a Dak guy.

Romo would have had 300 yards and 28+ points today easily with the same group.
Dak sucked, but lets not forget the line was atrocious. 6 sacks and pressured the whole game...Romo would of been injured at some point.

Having your offensive line cave in helps no one.

Been faithfully watching my Boys since 1974 and I can unequivocally tell everyone here that our COACHING STAFF is the SOLE REASON we have failed for the past 20+ years.

I don't need to add fancy stats OR comparison charts OR draft picks OR injuries OR depth charts or any other peripheral excuse that many JG lovers try to convince themselves with. We were usign the same excuses when we had Tony, Dez, Murray, Witten...are you kidding me !?!?!? STOP blaming DAK or anyone else!....maybe if DIpSH^#^# JG hadn't traumatized Dak by allowing CHAZ green to completely DEMORALIZE any confidence in our young QB by opening a flood gate of brutal sacks, maybe we would have the "old Dak" back......who knows, but the point is COACHING SUCKS for past 10 years. Period!

The LOGIC is indisputable. Wipe away all the glossy excuses and annual rationales (missed draft picks, injuries, Dak poor passing ) that makes you feel better! BE HONEST and ASK YOURSELF THIS QUESTION. If we kept everything EXACTLY as it is now or has been in ANY of the last 10 years, final 53, entire coaching staff, owners, FO, etc...same talent, same injuries, same staff, same drafts....every single thing the same and only made ONE CHANGE.......replaced RED-HEADED BUFFOON with Bill Belichick.....we would have had AT LEAST THREE Superbowl rings under our past talent (JW, TR, DB, DM)....over the past decade alone! Logically you can conclude that our HC is the problem.

I challenge any rational objective fan to disagree. Folks we have stunk in a sea of mediocrity for YEARS because of ONE THING - our despicable, inept, incapable HEAD COACH, who is a puppet, a figurehead at best.....a man-child that makes $6mill a year to do WHAT?!?! clap and pat butts and congratulate our players when they fumble or drop a pass or punt the ball away?

Bill Belichick's THIRD STRING could beat our starters, because he PREPARES, COACHES, MENTORS, TRAINS his ENTIRE team, game plan contingencies and scheme for success. EVERY position, EVERY string! He runs a very strict and tight ship, holds his team and individual performance ACCOUNTABLE for their actions. He can take any under-performing player and strategically mold them or cut them fast. STEALTH COACHING

JG is much more interested in being the player's "friend" than their coach or disciplinarian. At the NFL level, this approach has never and will NEVER work. Under JG, we will never, ever, ever make it our of mediocrity. The culture is already ingrained. No matter how much RAW TALENT we acquire, as long as that HC puppet fool is here, we are doomed.......no one will convince me of anything different. There is no discipline or accountability or pride or preparation or toughness or aggression.

Until you remove JG...no matter WHAT talent we bring on this team...we can get Tom Brady tomorrow.....JG will find a way to undermine our success...we are DOOMED folks

Breaks my heart.......

Because Carolina played an 8-man front the entire game. They have no respect for Dak. A good QB would make them pay for that dearly, but Dak can't. So they just stayed up there and stuffed Zeke and blitzed the pass. Why should they stop?

Run that defense that often against Rodgers, and he'd score 100 points and throw for 800 yards.

So....Chan Gailey, Dave Campo, Bill Parcells, Wade Phillips, and Jason Garrett?

I think you need to look higher up the totem pole.

Jameis Winston should be available soon. Maybe we can give up a 2nd round pick for him.

I agree Dak has to be able to kill the 8 man front, but he does need time to throw first. I will admit he is holding the bar way to long...

You are never going to have time against an 8-man front that is blitzing. There aren't enough blockers.

However, if you can throw accurately, you hit quick slants, break a tackle, and go 80 against it. Especially if you know it's coming.

Dak is back there holding the ball FOREVER against man coverage. He's got to let it go. But he doesn't trust his arm downfield.

This is going to be the story all season long until Dak proves otherwise. I just don't see it.

He's a backup QB that defensive coordinators caught up to.

I think we're in for an ugly season.

If Dez wanted to be playing he would be

Ha ha yeah, right! I'm sure Dez was showing everyone how awesome he was by sitting at home on his couch watching TV yesterday. That's really showing the doubters what he has left in the tank! No better way to prove his detractors wrong than not playing football!!! Lol.

Aaron Rodger's passing chart. Difference is, his guys did something with ball. He did hit on the 1 long td though.

pass-chart_ROD339293_2018-reg-1_1536551048923.jpeg
Difference was Rodgers hit his receivers instead of making every receiver adjust to every bad pass

He doesn't anticipate breaks. He doesn't throw in rhythm. He has to see a receiver wide open to throw it to him. By the time they're open, it's too late.

Dak is just not an NFL starting quarterback yet. I doubt he ever will be. I hope I'm wrong about that one day.
Sorry but you are not wrong. Your eyes do not decieve you

I think Daks performance without all those distractions showed Dez has a point.

I don't think it has anything to do with trusting his arm. It has more to do with panicking and not trusting what he is seeing with his eyes. He is less comfortable now than he was as a rookie.

They need to simplify things for him so the game slows down a little. Also his line doesn't have to hold forever but it needs to be slightly more consistent in how long it is holding the pocket.

Dak has issues independent of Dez, but Dez was part of his problem. It will come around and if it doesn't Dak won't be our QB. It's really that simple.

Dez sucks. That's why he doesn't have a job. Dez sucks independently of Dak. It's that simple. That's why Dez still doesn't have a job.
