That spin move worked on the LT a time or two lol. He's definitely more active than last year,
and unlike last year, he's looking good from that RDE spot so maybe D-Law has a nice counterpart?

Ive been pimping him at RDE. To me he is a 7 gap RDE in the vein of a Hardy or JPP type player. He has the skill set to play LDE as well, and I think that ties a 3 DE rotation with Lawrence and Gregory together. Taco can play with both.

Biggest difference is that he is rushing with a plan more effectively. Stringing moves together was an issue during his rookie year, but you could see him coming along late in the year

He's more aware of what he needs to do to get to the QB. When his initial move doesn't work he's doing a better job of countering.

There are some guys (Danielle Hunter as a rookie comes to mind) that are big and fast that be effective as a "hair on fire" type of rusher, that can be somewhat effective with solely explosiveness and effort. Taco isnt that guy.

Taco will need to win with power and technique like D-Law IMO. He seems to be getting better. Good thing is, those types of DEs are usually tough against the run as well.

At this point I would rather Taco start over Gregory. Gregory's play during pre-season says he should start. His penchant for seeking out trouble, says he need to earn the starting job by being dependable and not bringing this garbage into the locker room. I'm rooting for Gregory...but not at the detriment to the team.

I think Taco is the starting RDE with Gregory rotating in on third downs.

It was obvious he needed an offseason before you could even begin to fairly evaluate him.

If a DE has an NFL-ready body they're probably going top 10 unless they like weed.
