Jerry and Dez at Beyonce Concert

He can still endorse products. Dez could also serve as a mentor in recruiting other players to sign with Jay-Z.

I wouldn’t under estimate how Dez could contribute outside of football.

The more removed he is from playing, and the more removed he is from his quality seasons, the less his endorsement opportunities are and will be. He doesn't have the kind of personality that makes for a great spokesperson, and without that, for a player to get much in the way of endorsements he has to be either an elite player currently, or a player that is no longer elite, but has overwhelming career stats that make him identifiable as an all time great. Right now he doesn't have any of that going for him.

Exactly! Let's pour some gasoline on this fire and see what happens!

I’d agree with that but the post I was responding to didn’t list a time frame as criteria.

Yes , I’d agree with that.

I think there are players which aren’t HOF we could present an argument they were elite for a period of time.
I'm not interested in fabricating scenarios to fit players into an elite status. I think it's more accurate to use the entire body of work. Or at the very least the majority of a career.

I’m curious who the teenage minors are in Jerry’s private box ?

You know how 5 WRs can easily replace an 800 yard receiver if you just spread it around? Well, 5 Fifteen year olds can replace a 75 year old in much the same way.

It all goes back to the comment a poster made about Dez being financially set, and the follow ups that it depends on how he spends and invests because whatever he makes in football is going to have to last for 50 years since he wont have remotely the earning potential outside of football that he did playing football. So the time frame would be from now until Dez is no longer breathing - lol.

I was initially responding to the post that said Dez would only be able to do manual labor outside of football.

It would depend on the argument and narrative your presenting.

Bo Jackson or Herschel for example won’t ever make HOF but I believe they were elite talent and in their prime one of the best in their era.

I’ll always believe Dez was elite talent in his prime. It’s all subjective . There’s no absolution unless your only measurement is HOF.

His original contract should have been incentive based. Both the player and team would have benefitted.

The incentives would primarily be based on passing tests (classroom and on the field) in regards to knowledge of the offense, ability to run all routes correctly and phycological ability to resist mental meltdowns.

Jourdon Lewis would help with the phycological testing...
Lewis would look like he seen a ghost eyes would wide and he'd think to himself damn gotta practice hard again

Remember, no matter who wins on Sunday, Jerry Jones wins.

To be fair, this is any owner in the league. NFL owners can not lose money at all. Especially with the revenue sharing program. Which is why so many teams are complacent to not do much to improve.

I'm referring to how Lewis got Dez to have a mental meltdown that the world saw on All or Nothing.

 Now I'm confused because I remember seeing the video on amazon where Dez dominate Lewis and tells him to get up. Then Garrett addressed the team. To me seemed more like team was mad dez shot the rookie confidence and was being more of a bully then a leader just my opinion
