You remember how ineffective we look in 2015 in the running game? We couldn't get chunk plays or score on the ground. Right now, we are very strong at CB and as good as the CB in Jacksonville is, he still talks better than he plays. Zeke is a generational talent at RB. Ramsey could be too, but the jury is still out.
Why are you complaining about 983 yards for 2017, considering he missed 4 games. say he averaged 100 yards per game for those 4 missed games it would be 1383. I got no problem with what Zeek did.
Zeke missed 6 games, meaning he wouldn’t even need to rush for 100 yards a game to hit 1300. And being suspended, he couldn’t even practice with the team, meaning he missed close to six weeks totally disconnected from what the team was even doing.
Adrian Peterson is a generational talent and Zeke’s first season was better than APs second season and Zeke’s second season would have most probably matched at minimum APs third season of he didn’t get suspended.
Zeke is clearly on track with what one defines as generational if one argues AP is.. he’s clearly not as talented, but arguing he’s not following the part to greatness by the numbers is just nonsense...
Of course Zeke’s mentality is the main issue here..
Romo on the sidelines & butt fumble Sanchez Dak's mentor. He lost both.If dak can't throw, how do you explain 2016?
If zeke was a crutch for dak in 2016, how do you explain week 1?
That’s odd. The offense actually controlled the clock very well in 2015. They led the league in average time of possession per drive until after the final game of the season, and ended up 3rd best at 3 minutes per drive, just a couple seconds lower than the year before. Was just reading part of Dallas logic in getting Zeke was the ground game would keep the average defense off the field a large part of the time, meaning they drafted Zeke in part because of defense and controlling TOP.
What was wrong with our running game in 2015 that necessitated a premium pick at running back in 2016?
Despite their rushing proficiency in 2015, the Cowboys ran 45 more offensive snaps in 2014 than last season.

At one point over half way through the season we were averaging 3:21 seconds per drive. 19 seconds about our 2014 pace and we were still losing.
Controlling the clock was not an issue in 2015.
They couldn’t put the ball in the red zone.
And I was just reading an article about draft day they went Zeke and not Ramsey in part because they thought he would help TOP and keep what they believed was an average defense off the field. So with Zeke they thought his impact could he felt two ways, not just one way with Ramsey.
Another interesting stat I just read from the same article was the following:
https://www.si.com/mmqb/2016/05/01/nfl-draft-dallas-cowboys-war-room-jerry-jones-peter-king
Randle could put the ball in the end zone. He had 4 TDs on only 78 attempts. Last year Zeke had 7 TDs on 243 attempts. Randle was on pace to score 12 touchdowns with the same amount of carries as Zeke got last year. He also averaged that same 4.1 ypc as Zeke last year. Randle was laughed out of town and cut. “Meat on the bone”.
LOL. Never fails. Do everything you can to knock one and pump up the other. Can we go subtracting Zekes multiple TD games and 1 yard TD runs to make his performance look less impressive too?I don’t know if you are being serious when trying to compare Randle to Zeke via stats that aren’t normalized.
3 of Randles TDs came in 1 game against Atlanta, two of them from one yard out, all in the first half and he couldn’t gain a single yard after that in the loss and the majority of his yardage came in the two game Romo was playing.
What that basically means he scored one more TD in three games..
And Troy Hambrick averaged more than 5 YPC in a backup role behind Emmitt and has more YPC than Emmitt.. not sure what your point is..
What was wrong with our running game in 2015 that necessitated a premium pick at running back in 2016?
Let’s take a look at the entire scenario. 2014 we are on the verge of SB in my mind. The process has yielded results and we are on the cusp of greatness. We need a defense and we are there. It sounds like you are more upset the cowboys didn't pick who you wanted them to and picked Zeek. That's the past, once they make the pick, you just have to see how Zeek Performs and to me he's been great except I don't like his wild off the field lifestyle. Also when Dak is doing good he pairs well with Zeek. Dak has a lot of things going for him, if he can overcome his one flaw. Jalen Ramsey who I wanted the cowboys to pick, has been a bit of a knucklehead himself, and given that I don't know if he would've been the right pick for Dallas. Besides that, our Defense right now is not the problem. So no Zeek to complement Dak, how would this season have been any better if you have Ramsey?
You’re giving him 5 yards. They found out he didn't want to throw past 8 yards.
At least Dak said Romo didn’t make it uncomfortable. Not a glowing endorsement for a supposed mentor.
Yes. That was ceteiniy nice of Dak to say. It was much better than “did you see Romo pouting on the bench looking like I just stole his girlfriend?”.You mean like this?...
"I mean, Tony did an amazing job of helping me out. I think that's what Tony realized is that, he couldn't necessarily control whether he was going to play or not. But what he can control is our relationship," Prescott said Wednesday on The Rich Eisen Show.
"And I think Tony did a great job, and I commend Tony and thank him so much for that -- of being another coach for me, of helping me out, of in the middle of the game, at practice, on the field [and] off the field, giving me advice. And as a guy who went through exactly what I went through -- taking over the position from an older veteran, and knowing what it's like to be the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, and just helping me out."

There are many other quotes similar to that one.
That's true, but McFadden ran between the 20s a lot and they simply could not punch the ball into the end zone. Also, few chunk plays. Was just reading part of Dallas logic in getting Zeke was the ground game would keep the average defense off the field a large part of the time, meaning they drafted Zeke in part because of defense and controlling TOP.
gee. where did all the confusion come from then. i mean "brilliant" and all should mean consistency which we don't have from him which to me, makes "brilliant" a bit of a homer-statement. much like mmmmmdonuts.brilliant
