This is exactly the kind of short-sided, stupid, risky move I’d expect this FO to make

There would be little to no risk, what I expect us to do is what we always do, nothing. We have an arena all star receiver corps, I see absolutely no downside.

I'd bring in Gordon without hesitation with some very clear understandings.

As I'm new here, where is the button to like other's posts? I have none and don't see it anywhere? And also, where is the tab to start a new thread? Not that I would start many, but come on?

There is no downside here.

Distractions, suspensions, diva attitude, more pot smokers to tempt Gregory lol... Yah— there is a downside. We need reliable, consistent players— not more unreliable (albeit talented) players that we have to worry about getting banned from the NFL for life lol

Patience is often a virtue. It's usually a wiser decision to act knowledgeably rather than impulsively. Hasty decisions are usually the wrong thing to do. But there's also a very true adage that says if nothing changes, nothing changes.

I'm not for drastic, panic-influenced moves. I think we've seen several of those made that ended up blowing up in our collective faces. Joey Galloway and WR Roy Williams come to mind. But both of those were high risk, high reward moves. Costing not only premium draft picks, but premium salaries as well.

What I am advocating here is this team taking some small risks in an effort to gain what could be high rewards. There's some football talent available at some areas where this team is struggling, specifically on offense. Dallas has question marks at both receiver and quarterback and they should strike to capitalize on cheap talent that might have big upside.

Two years ago, they lived Paxton Lynch so much that they were willing to give up serious draft capital. Now, that same guy that they so coveted is available, for peanuts. Little risk, high reward. And now, Josh Gordon is available for trade as well. Troubled player, but his talent is undeniable. And Gordon sounds like a guy who's crying out for structure. The Cowboys pride the, selves on helping and standing by their troubled players, right? Then what better example than a struggling player looking to be taken under your wing?

The fact is that this team has some serious offensive struggles. And they need help. For now, and for the future if there's eventually another coaching staff brought in. Again, low risk, potentially high reward. Shake it until it works and don't sit by at status quo while the teams struggle and things fall apart. And potential opportunity is missed.

Do SOMETHING.
It’s not out of JJs wheel house to take a chance. I am surprised they didn’t go after lynch.

Same here. He always pats himself on the back for his risk-taking. I don't know why you wouldn't given the incredibly low cost and risk involved. Everything to gain and nothing to lose. This team undeniably has question marks at both spots.

I'm not saying that either guy is the answer, only suggesting that they ask the question.

They will do something tonight. Nows not the time for knee jerk reactions.

I'm of the opposite ilk. Play what we have, then make the moves in the offseason to correct problems. Thing is, we haven't been doing that. Well.

Gordon is not the future. Cannot build a super bowl contender w/ players such as him.

Lynch? Don't care, as long as he's cheap. From what I understand he's a real dummy w/ a possibly poor work ethic. At this point, Mike White is a better prospect.

Gotta post more.

It's a great set up by Reality. Basically, newbies starting thread after thread clogs up the board and most of their threads are unnecessary. Not saying that yours would be, just talking in general.

Oh my gosh you can’t be serious.

My agenda is score more points and move the football.

He hasn’t thrown for 200 yards in 7 of his last 9.

Stop homering and accept the reality and let’s hope he fixes his issues.
it is homeri g that we have had crap lineplay and no weapons during those games. gotcha.
