Dak wasn't that good last night **merged**

Mahomes is twice the QB Dak is - he’s making throws our guy can only dream about. You’re losing your own argument. Mahomes is hitting those passes because he can - Dak can’t. Shootout or not is irrelevant. Mahomes is a QB - Dak is a hack.
Go support the chiefs then.

160 yards passing will win few games in todays NFL. Simple fact. He MUST do better.

But they did win. Dak averaged 229 yards a game in 2016, there's zero evidence that he will throw for 160 yards on a consistent basis.
Every game is different. Lots of quarterbacks throw for 400 yards in a game because a receiver takes a 20 yard pass and runs for another 40, or a back takes a screen pass behind the line of scrimmage and runs for 60 yards. Zeke himself has done that. It's no always the quarterback bombing the ball 50 yards in the air.

Let's just see what happens before we doom Dak to a 2,400 yard passing year....

He relied on what got him on the Heisman list after his junior season, his legs. However, that will not work every week and they will not play a team as bad as the Giants every week. The Giants might be lining up for a housecleaning at the end of the season and drafting a QB with that top 5 pick.

Dak was more accurate than in his 1st game so that was good to see.
This. I thought that the Giants might have one more stab at it but the o-line is just too bad, and the money tied up in Manning is now just holding back the team from a much needed re-build. It will take too much time to retool that line WITH Manning, who is near the end anyway. Going to be a tough decision for the Giants' brass to deal with...but I think the window for Manning is now closed. Too many problems on the offensive side. Good skill players but the o-line continues to be the albatross they can't shake off...and now they've just lost their starting center for the year.

It’s gonna be closer to 2,400 than 4,800. And less than 15 passing TD’s.

Who made Dak overthrow a wide open Tico for 6? Got it - NOT Dak. No other starting QB misses that pass.
You should watch a replay of that play. Rico stumbled or would’ve had a chance to make the catch.

Zero evidence my butt. He's thrown 10 over the last 15 games (two consecutive to start this year). Not going to cut it with the big dog teams.

Dak missed one or two throws last night. Every qb misses throws. I've seen Rodgers and Brady miss wide open receivers. It happens.

Dak was in control last night. Making great reads.

As someone mentioned in order to have alot of yards your wideouts need to make plays after the catch, or you need to throw the ball 50 plus times like alot of quarterbacks did yesterday.

Dak was good yesterday, but i want to see the consistency come back. I also want to see the coaches open things back up like they did early and late on a more consistent basis. I think that plays into it .

Dak is not a thrilling passer, the absolute dime to Tavon Austin aside - but if you work him at his natural given skill-set he IS a weapon. The coaching staff should definitely scheme to take advantage of Dak's running ability. Dak has thick stems and is built to run. That threat to run is what will ultimately allow Dak more options in the passing game.

LOL that ball was so far off target one little stumble didn’t keep him from getting to it. Stop making excuses for his poor mechanics. The ball sails on him because he releases it too early.

It's amazing how many people are pleased with Prescott's performance last night. That bar's been lowered so much that if he just fields the snap correctly we're back in business.

160 yards passing. That 64 yarder to a wide open Tavon Austin was the 3rd offensive play of the game. He had almost an entire game left to play and didn't throw for 100 yards. And this impresses people? Why? Because they won? They won that game because the defense balled out. The QB doesn't get any credit for that.

You Sir... Are a friggin Clown. And that’s putting it mildly

The lesser astute among us just don't get how well dak played last night. Giants have one of the best group of d-backs in the league. No one is going to shred that group. Dak was very effective against them.

I saw a lot of positives in Daks game last night, but I’d really like to see more consistency in his footwork. I would also like to see him step up in the pocket instead of bailing out so soon and rolling to his right. I’m not sure if he’s not trusting what he’s seeing there. I felt there were a couple of times he could’ve stepped up instead rolled into the pressure to his right. But all in all I was pleased with his game last night even if his numbers were considered “awesome”. Just make the plays when they’re there and he did that.
