Dak is not an elite NFL QB. He is a runner and a game manager. He cannot make all of the throws and there are a lot of throws he cannot make consistently. An elite QB can hide some warts but it’ll take an elite team to hide this QB’s warts if the team is going to get where we want.

Keep it accurate. Dak can make all the NFL throws. This is a known fact. He definitely has other issues, but that isn't one of them.

1. He needs to trust his receivers to win one on one battles past 10 yards.
2. He needs to learn how to put some touch on the ball. Stop throwing bullets when the guy is 5 yards away.
3. Needs to STOP with the backpedalling. This is really annoying and ends the play quickly.

I am sorry but this is like a Bears fan defending Rex Grossman. Against another Bears fan who says they need something better than him. Winning doesn't put lipstick on a pig and I want a qb closer to Rodgers than Dak.

It's not. You are able to use hindsight to determine that Grossman sucks. We still don't know what Dak will be, even though some pretend. So, I guess I could say that this is like a little squirrel pretending he can predict the future!!!!!

You can see the holes in his game. Same as Grossman when he was playing. When adversity hits there is a having a guy who goes into a shell abd guys who thrive. If we don't know now what Dak is we are going to find out in a month and a half because the competition will get much stiffer.

Oh, I absolutely agree!!!

What I'm hoping is that Dak gets just a bit better, and Jerry realizes what we really need are game changers on D to complement a ball control O.

What I'm afraid will happen is that Jerry will sit on his laurels w/ this D that is good and go total O next offseason.

does the squirrel actually remember where he buried the nut, or is he able to smell the nut? or as long as he finds the nut, does it really matter. as long as dak turns into a good qb, we're still a winner.

I can agree with that. We still need to be willing to make upgrades and even with Woods playing well at the one be willing to take or sign a guy like Eddie Goldman. Watching Chicago having a monsters of the midway revival just hammers home the point we need to not just ait back on defense.
