Historically Eli has been good about getting the ball out--he'll get some pressure from the Cowboys D but manage to get the throw off, even if it's just throwing it away.
It was fun to see these lightning quick blitz sacks remove even that from him.

Cautiously optimistic. Defense shows promise but the Giant's O-line is truly terrible right now.

Do you guys thinking the Dolphins are talking Super Bowl right now? Do you think you’ll find a thread on the Commanders forums with the word Super Bowl in it? The Bengals? The Bears?

Jesus lord, it’s week 2 and you’ve played the 28th and 18th ranked offenses. Everyone settle down a little bit.

Why can’t we have high hopes? You all have been prematurely anointing certain players since 2006 until 2016. Damn!! Can we believe in something?

Yup, and that's the key. It's a TEAM effort. Your offence must be on point, your DEFENCE must be able to carry you, and we always overlook the special teams when it comes to evaluating a team. THAT right there is just as critical as the other two. Your kicker has to be able to make critical kicks, and your punter has to be able to pin the opposing offence deep. This allows the defence to be able to do its job.

Well, the major problem is there is no such thing as a super bowl caliber defense. Only a superbowl caliber team. There is no way your D is carrying that offense anywhere. Is your immaculate D going to be holding the Pats to 16 points? The Rams? The Eagles, the Vikings, the Chiefs?

I feel pretty good about the defense two weeks in but like has been said here, I need to see it for several weeks in a row against good offenses. I think a lot of defenses are going to look good against NYG.

This thread is premature in terms of genuine evaluation but as a fan you can be as excited as you want. I'm hoping we continue to see the play live up to your excitement.

Good defense always helps a team's chances of winning. Of course, a prolific offense and a great defense is even better.

Our defense will be a source of more stability vs. the most prolific offenses in the league this year and perhaps even later.

I'd like to see the Cowboys improve, mostly on offense. Our passing should improve as Dak and his receivers get in sync.
