Are you blaming Romo for Ty Smith getting bull rushed into him as he's in his throwing motion, Twill's rookie route and the diving pick? That's pure BS. Not all interceptions are created evenly and any sane person would not say that Tomy simply ***'ed up. The guy passed for over 500 yards and 5 TD passes. Its' one of the greatest QB performances in the history of the league and it wasn't rewarded with a win because the Defense was terrible and an improbable INT sealed the loss. Understanding all of this. it is simply a ridiculous position to take. So yeah, you either don't know football or you are so full of Romo hate that you can't be objective.

I supported Romo from the time he played in the preseason 2003 until he couldn't play. I'm just over it because he hasn't been on the team in ******* years. Let it go. Not only do you not know what you're talking about but the excuses that you come up with are pathetic.
Did Smith make him throw the ball? Mishap or not. It was an INT.
And it's telling that fans will go on and on about throwing 500 yards and ignore what lost the game. Yards don't matter if you throw a game ending INT. Period. Another game I worked is a classic go to for those who continue the excuses. 2007 at Buffalo. Romo turns the ball over 6 times and Folk kicks a game winner, yet Romo is the hero. Hilarious.

I'm moving on because it gets old. The Romo-rooters still whining and tossing excuses all over the place that aren't afforded to others.

According to you though, the rest of the game doesn't matter because he drove them down the field for the game winning drive, the hypocrisy while calling out double standards is hilarious. And no I don't think Romo should be praised for the Bills game, I actually know how to separate a player's performance from the team's result.

If throwing an interception at the end of a game is all that matters, then wouldn't driving for the game winning score be all that matters? If not, you aren't being consistent.
 
There has been no QB in history outside Romo that has been hamstrung by an HC-OC that was ultimately demoted from play-calling and said by the owner they don’t want him anywhere near the offense after he basically sucked for years at it and was also said to be ‘in-training’ at the same time...

There is a reason Jerry believes he can win now with good coordinators, with Jason Garrett just clapping...

I don't judge the players by the win/loss result, so I'd probably put the blame on the defense there depending on how the game went prior,

Romo played lousy in the Bills' game. See. That is called being objective.Back to the Denver game, it was Smith's job not to get bullrushed on the Trevathan INT. It was a split second part of the play that caused Romo to underthrow slightly when he stepped on Smith foot. Romo didn't feel the contact with Smith until he had started his throwing motion. What did you want him to do? Had Williams run a better route he could have come back and made the play, but he let Trevathan undercut him and dive for the ball. If you were being somewhat objective, you could see that these are reasonable points. people don't like Romo. Early in his career he wasn't always safe with the football, but he developed into a fantastic QB that had the misfortune of not getting adequte support when he was in his prime (2010-2013). You have the right to your oppinion, but you sound incredibly uninformed or prejudiced when you blame Romo for the Denver loss.

I never blamed Romo for anything, you said I did. All I said was that he didn't take advantage and/or pull through with opportunities to put games away. Then I gave examples. Twist things however you need. Keep putting words in my mouth. Keep saying I'm uninformed or prejudiced. I don't care. Save your energy for more excuses. I'm moving on.

How can he be responsible for having to "put the game away"? It was the defense that failed in that game. Your comment that "500 yards" is being used to excuse to cover up a bad throw is ludicrous, because it wasn't even a bad throw to begin with. It didn't have the velocity because of Ty Smith blocking Romo's follow-through, but it was still a makeable play if Williams runs a sharper route and Travathan doesn't makes a heck of a play. You can find lots of games where Romo deserves blame for the outcome. That game ain't one of them.

Regardless if the score is 0-0 or 48-48, you have ball in hand with under 2 minutes left needing only a field goal. Haven't you ever heard announcers say "this game might come down to whoever has the ball last"? We had that opportunity in that barn burner of a game and failed to take advantage of the opportunity. So, yes, the defense failed that day and is the main reason we lost the game. The offense still had the chance to pull the victory out and didn't. They actually gave Denver's offense great field position for the win. Both things can occur.
