Yep, that’s what no one talks about. It’s not like there wasn’t more time on the clock. We’re talking Aaron Rodgers here.Dallas still wouldve lost anyway. They made too many mistakes that game.

Bull****Shoulda thrown for the first instead of playing hero ball.
It should've been a catch because Dez did in fact make a football move. It's not Romo's fault that Dez tried to dive for the endzone instead of securing the catch. You seriously are one of the biggest trolls on this site.Play epitomizes Romo and the Cowboys.
Two stars trying to be heroes instead of being smart.
- Romo knows GB has leverage taking away Beasley who was supposed to be the primary read.
- Romo knows the blitz is coming
- He knows he can’t shift protection
- He knows Dez is singled up
- Romo decides presnap he is going for a low % deep shot instead of calling time out.
- Dez made miraculous catch and then loses ball because he isn’t smart enough to wrap it up and secure the catch
And people miss this because they had great stats while losing instead of wanting to try and find some winners.
Yeah....I, too, am tired of this narrative. smdhBull****

The play was there. With he and Dez it was moderate to almost low risk and very high reward...the completion rate with those two was about 80% when he had one on one like that.
They executed it perfectly.

Yes, not smart enough. The team plays dumb. It has for years. Situational football seems to escape this team. We didn’t need a TD there. We needed a fresh set of downs. That was the absolute #1 priority. Dez should have craddled that ball like it was a baby. Not expose it.I was with you until you made this ignorant comment (highlighted in bold). Not smart enough? Just as Romo decided to go for a low percentage risky deep shot, Dez took a risky shot at leaping into the end zone despite not having his balance. What both have in common is that they are playmakers.

You don't know that. Pure Speculation. Romo said many times that Dez was nearly always open that you just had to put it in the right spot and let him go get it and he did on that play. Dez then proceeded to go for it all instead of securing the catch and going down.Brady would have thrown for the first. That's what separates a Hall of Famer from a mediocre post-season qb.

Not going to argue the catch vs no catch again. It has been beaten to death. The officials ruled it incomplete and I agree. Even if it were a bad call, it still doesn’t mean it wasn’t stupid to expose the ball and bring the officials into the equation at all. The ball should have been wrapped up. Moderate to low risk my ***. It was a 50/50 jump ball for crying out loud. Needed to run a play with a higher chance of succeeding. Romo should have called a timeout and gotten the team in a better play to gain 2 yards. Two yards needed in large part because Romo took a sack on 2nd down instead of throwing the dang ball away when he was only a few yards from the sideline.Bull****
