A normal Thursday practice became a mystery of sorts for the Dallas Cowboys with troubled defensive linemen David Irving and Randy Gregory both absent.

This is Irving’s first week back with the Cowboys after missing the first four games under NFL suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

And Gregory is in headed into his fifth game back since the season finale in 2016 after serving an indefinite suspension for repeated violations of the substance abuse policy.

This sounds as if Garrett was unaware that Irving wasn't going to be at practice on Thursday. And Garrett says Irving was there in the morning.

How did David Irving look yesterday?
He looked good, he got a lot of work in individual drills and team drills. He handled it well. Looked like he was moving around well this morning, optimistic about him practicing a full practice today.

Every other article Clarence writes is just like this. It's incredibly off-putting.

It's about football players practicing, you don't need to bedazzle the news and lead with disingenuous openers/headlines.

Perhaps a headline of:
" irvine and gregory miss practice for perfectly acceptable reasons that the team are aware of-nothing untoward here" would not have generated as many clicks as "more trouble or not".
