With a sample size of whats the issue with this team its clear WR, TE, S are the top needs. And depth at OL, LB, and DT are right up there.

I think we can take off TE as a round 1 spot because there is no TE worth it IMO, not even close.

I think Dallas will make the playoffs and lose in the DIV round.

Dallas drafts 25th

Think Dallas has to pick up a TE in FA.

For me i would want a guy like Brate but i dont think TB would trade him because he would have 14mil in dead money next yr.

Dallas signs Jesse James TE Pittsburgh Steelers
Big TE who plays in a offense that uses a TE in the same ways Dallas does. Blocker/In the middle of the field route runner. He wont be 25 until June next yr. Offer this kid a nice contract to take his game to Dallas.
4yrs 21mil 8mil SB

Dallas signs Kevin White WR Chicago Bears
He's had some bad luck with injuries to start his career, he will be 27 when the season starts. He would come cheap on a prove it deal. But the talent and work ethic is there.
1yr 3mil 1mil SB

Draft
Round 1
Paris Campbell WR Ohio State
WR who has suffered because of the limitations of QB at OSU. Guy has serious ability to take any pass to the house. Right now he's a top RD2 prospect but they say he's gonna run a 4.3range which will bring him up to a RD1 grade. Dallas needs skill at WR. Team him up with Gallup and Beasley and you got something going.

Round 2
Michael Jordan G/C Ohio State
Going to the buckeyes again, Jordan was starting guard in 2017 and was moved to Center after Price went in the draft. He's the type of guy Dallas would look at. Like what Looney has done but he does have limitations. This could change if Looneys game continues to improve but i think we have seen the peak of Looney, and its ok but could be better. I dont think we see Frederick play again.

Round 3
David Sills WR West Virginia
Big target who is the best WR in college in the redzone. Guy has 23 TDs over the last 16 games. Was the kid who commited to USC at 13 lol. IF he had better speed he would be a RD1 pick easy. He relies more on great route running to get open. I could see him in the slot opening up that middle with Jesse James.

I guess I'm good with all this, except I think Kevin White is pretty useless, but my question is what you're doing at safety?

Earl?

So you think we re-sign Bease?

Quite the heavy overhaul at WR.

Can see a FA and draft pick, but not re-signing Bease to a market value deal, signing a project, and then spending round 1 and 3 on a WR.

Not sure I get the value of taking a C/G in round two either. Frederick should be good to go for sure(IMO) by next season. Injuries withstanding, our interior is locked up long term. Feels like a luxury taking a C/G that high. Of course it depends on your belief on if TF plays again. I would prefer a Tackle here if going O-Line or a DT the way the DL class is shaping up.

Probably later in the draft. I think the Cowboys think theyre fine with Woods and Heath. Yes Heath laid a egg vs the Lions but he has been good the other 3 games. This what im thinking right now. It will change later. One thing that wont change is i think this team needs new WRs.

Frederick i dont think will play another down. That issue he has is a serious one. Not in the terms of life or death but in terms of being a OL and not having the strength to keep up. Thats only gonna lead to a big injury.

Paris Cambell is not remotely a 1st rounder. He may be more raw (as a receiver) than Cordelle Patterson was while at Tennessee.

Exactly. I'm not sure he runs routes. He takes short passes and outruns everyone else or just sprints down the field past everyone. You can't coach speed, but you would have to coach him how to read coverage and shake DBs. Unless Dallas fires their coaching staff and switches schemes, I'm not sure what he brings to the table. He also has a second R in his first name, so we won't always have Paris.

As for the Jessie James idea, he's not a great blocker. He was marginally better that Gesicki in college, but I don't think the Steelers are seeing a lot of production out of his blocking considering how bad their running game is.

how does JJ feel about Dak?
we get that answer...that dictates what we do in the draft.
unsure...ready to move on...then its Justin Herbert,Oregon in Rd 1...WR in Rd 2.

if he still thinks Dak is his guy...N'Keal Harry,WR-Az St...then best def player avail in Rd 2...TE or OL in 3rd.

I have a funny feeling Dak is sticking around...if thats the case...get some weapons at the WR spot.

Love, love, love signing Jesse James and taking a chance on Kevin White. I also liked your 3rd round selection of David Sills.

However, would hate your first two picks and think the idea of us drafting 25th is delusional.

We have seen what taking chances on hurt guys or guys who have underperformed has done for us and our WR core. Get studs and spend the necessary resources to get quality guys in here. I dont want kevin white or cast offs here.

White's finally been healthy this year, playing in all 4 games. However, he has yet to catch a pass.

I still believe his talent but you have to be productive.

After Sunday, you may have to rethink our draft slot. We are starting at like 6-7 wins.

Redo this with the Cowboys picking around 10.

At this point is it possible to draft 2 QBs like Wash did with Cousins and RG3

How freaking delusional do you have to be to think this team is drafting 25th without a serious trade down?

My Lord.
25th would basically be one of the last wildcard teams and ousted in the DIV rd. simple math.

Simple math is they are 2-3 and have a 29% chance of making the playoffs.

So at this point it’s more likely they are going to be picking 12th than 25th.
