Again, look at the sacks registered by DEs in the 4-3, and compare him to other DEs taken in second half of round one over the years. It’s stupid to compare him to OLBs in the 3-4. OLBs that some fans beg the Cowboys to draft at DE go to 3-4 teams every year for a reason! Plenty of 4-3 teams pass on them while looking for true DEs.My thoughts are that I still think it's funny that people thought he was going to get 8 sacks this year
"it's only one sack every two games"
"its a natural progression for a second year player"
"he's a former first round pick, he better get at least 8"
Nope. Nope. Nope.
I hear you Sarge, but plenty of fans were saying that about DLaw as well. He’s exactly what I figured he’d be. A good player not worthy of a first round pick.
better.Getting where?
Im still not seeing it in this kid. Takes time or not, he just doesn't have IT. Kid gets pushed around badly all game long. The few plays he makes is when he is unblocked.
Thoughts?
Yeah!!! Why didn’t they draft him? That kinda irritated me when he was there and they went with Taco instead. Here are my thoughts...

That’s still dumb though. I trust a Watt like I do a Matthews name. You know those kind of people are going to produce. It’s in their blood man...Dallas and their dumb Taco sauce, with Rod leaning over and shaking hands all around like it was the best pick of the day. Sooo over that.Measurables over intangibles.
They had a real football player staring them in the face but passed for the guy who looks the part but plays like an oaf.
Gregory got more snaps in the second half, and he made some plays on Sunday, probably our best DL on Sunday behind Crawford... but it is disappointing his not getting home. Also, he's had two costly penalties this season. He has a high motor, and each week has looked better. Still, he does need to start getting home, it's gonna be week 6.I think he got hurt early and missed much of the last game.so that may explain some of why we didn't see much Sunday. Overall I see individual moments - he puts some pressure on the QB and holds his ground against the run, but so far it looks more like he will be a serviceable player, but not much beyond that. I'm really more disappointed in Gregory, who got a chance to play a considerable number of snaps Sunday, but had very little impact rushing the passer.

Corn tortillas. Soft. And beef, not chicken. And not ground beef. Sliced skirt steak.I prefer the crunchy ones myself.
