ESPN's trade idea for Cowboys

You trade for a player if you think that player can help you win. To be honest of every non QB player who might even remotely become availible I don’t think a single one is gonna make this a play off team
I’d rather keep our picks because it’s starting to look like they are gonna be high round picks
This team is not one player away from being a playoff team so why trade your picks when those picks look like they could do more to help this team

Any trade that doesn't involve Dak is worthless. Unless the WR has 4 foot arms.

I would rather trade a 4th or 5th rounder for Golden Tate. Yes, he’s a jerk but he’s in a contract year. He could be that veteran, reliable WR who has serious YAC potential.
...but Tate isnt available for a 4th or 5th...?

I don’t know about trading for Golden Tate but I think I would have interest in him as a free agent this offseason. He’s older than you would like at 30 but he’s probably going to be the best free agent WR. The Cowboys have to overhaul their WR corps. They can draft one in the first round but then you are relying on a rookie WR and probably Gallup in year two so I think they still need a really good veteran too. Unfortunately, we might need to look QB in round one too.

The upcoming free agent WR class isn’t too impressive. The top names after Tate are probably Funchess, Enunwa, John Brown and Moncrief.

I'd love Enunwa

Parker is toilet paper soft, and lacks the work ethic on the practice field/game days. Too hot and cold, with him being cold more times than not.

I really wanted him to succeed down here, but he seems to be like Perriman/White. 2015 draft class WR bust.

agreed, I am all for upgrading the spot, but this guy is no better than Butler IMO.

Maybe but for a 6th round pick?

I'd take the chance.

People value late round picks way too much around here.

Live look-in at DeVante Parker reading the Dallas trade:

LLLOOLLL, you are CRAZY! LOL

The biggest impact trade in terms of improving the team would be to swap Jerry and Jason for a can of pringles.........if no takers we can lower the price to a package of ramen noodles.

I'd take Dez over this overpaid scrub any day and it's not even close.

You know what? At this point? I'd love to see it! Who cares? Bring him back, pour gasoline on this dumpster fire!

If nothing else than just to give a middle finger to Scott Linehan, who tried to pin all the blame for his offense sucking on Dez Bryant and backstab the guy and run him out of town. I have to think that privately, Jerry Jones is seething. He listened to these clowns and gave them everything they wanted. Assistants changed out, Dez cut, stepson Kellen Moore hired as quarterbacks coach. And the results are worse than ever!

Fact is that Dez Bryant could walk on the practice field today and be this team's best receiver. And second place wouldn't be close. And that 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1 on Sunday Night? You would have actually had another option to go for it and maybe even win that game.

I know it won't happen, too many people have too much pride. But it's the awful truth of things.

Sounds like the perfect Cowboy!

Need two good tight ends. Need a quick big target due to poor QB protection.
Why? The TE's had 5 catches on 5 targets for like 98 yards or like 45% of our passing yards. The problem rests squarely on play calling & person responsible for delivering the ball on time & on target.

I don't see this move changing anything at all.
