Reality check for some

I guess you don’t respect or like our defense

Interesting lol
I love our D.

Playing with the lead against a team with no threat on offense is perfectly suited to ground and pound.

Playing from behind with the clock ticking you might need to be able to air it out.

Just ask the Jags.

Part of that is what Dallas wants from their OL..big road graders...remember the 90's teams were TERRIBLE at screens because the OL was simply not quick enough to get out in front. Elliot at least give the homerun threat from the screen if you get a hat on the the first defender in front of him and give him space.

I do miss the Landry double pump screens..they were a thing of beauty LOL.
Erik Williams and Nate Newton were known as one of the best downfield blocking tandems of all time.

this is what Dak excels at...

This is what can make us a very good and dangerous team...

We will not be an air raid passing prolific team!

We just need a cole Beasley to stay open, a cheap reliable Gallup type

And then run, bootleg, QB runs, screens , and dominate and control the game

Pass protection.

Dak is always good when the pass protection is good.

I was listening to the pre game show on the Ticket and they had their film geeks on there talking about the Houston game. They said the OL graded out very well in pass protection for that game and that it was the run blocking where they graded low. And we’ve seen other games where the protection was fine and Dak struggled. He usually gets B+ protection, and today it was A+. But he’s gotta figure out how to make B+ work because in the NFL you aren’t going to get A+ very often. Besides, his passing performance was nothing spectacular today. It was very solid for sure so I don’t want it to sound like it wasn’t good. He made some good throws, and he made some not so good ones including missing a sure fire TD pass by a big margin. Where Dak was great today was with his legs.

Don't you mean Jerry?
you know ? the puppet master who won't let any coach do anything ? lmao . ..

garrett has 2 playoff berths in 9 years ... 9 years .

At least marvin lewis has 7 playoff berths in 15 years . Twice as better than 'con artist' garrett .
Do you ever get tired of saying the exact same thing in every post? Offer something of value

We are definitely lacking that 'other" WR. If the opposing defences double-team Beasley, that "other" guy would eat them alive. If they double team that "other" WR, then Beasley will eat them alive. Spell that with a TE outlet and we have a passing game.
Gallup had some nice catches today. He could be trending in the right direction

..you might say Unreal reality check. I hope they can take 90% of this blueprint to Wash next wk.

If wash benches the one corner opposite norman they are ripe. Cam was abusing that corner today.

So Dak is good to go...as long as he doesn’t have to throw the football?

I get that Dak excels at rushing for almost 100 yards per game .

and that Zeke also should rush for 100+ yards per game.

The problem is that the coaches know this works, but keep deviating from it because they want Dak learning their system rather than adapting their system to the QB's skillset. The coaches have a super tough time adapting to changing times.

Maybe.

But today was what led us to a 13 win record just 2 years ago and a play or two away from the NFCCG

Lets win 2 games in a row before we drink to much koolaid. Love the win, by far their best performance, but can we do it TWICE in a row?

Eventually, we will need a high quality starting WR with size and hands. We will also need a top end receiving TE for the QB. This team handles adversity and bad press and gives a great effort, but no....regardless of today’s score, this team will need additional and much better talent on offense.
Longhorns big play and possession WR that can be had in the 2nd round:

WR Collin Johnson: 6'6", 212 lbs, 4.48 40 yd dash, excellent hands and leaping ability (both vertical and horizontal), good tree route, blocks very well downfield.

At least Rico has made two plays this year. That's two more than last year.
Rico was wide open running down the seam and if dak had thrown him the ball, rico wis uldmhave had a 40 yard td, which would be two tds.... be we all know what happen on the would be number one td reception.
