Chiefs LB Breeland had Tom Brady dead to rights last night on a key play but let him go because he thought Brady threw the ball and was afraid with the new rules on hitting QBs, he would get flagged.

Unfortunately, Brady still had the ball and after Breeland let him go, Brady scrambled for a TD.

Just another example of how the owners are completely screwing the rules of the game up. I don't have issues with some of the rules to protect QBs such as hits to the head, hitting a QB with the crown of your helmet, diving at knees.

But they've gone too far to the point you now had a player in a key game admit he let a QB go because he was afraid of getting a penalty. And this won't be the last time this happens.

Sounds like the whine of a player who shoulda kept his eye on who had the flippin’ ball.

Defensive holding would have made it 1st and goal. I think refs need to be quicker with in the grasp calls in that situation to “protect” the QB as they say.

That's a weak excuse by a player who brain farted. When the QB runs they're still fair game.

Also Brady has zero speed so LOL at any defensive player who can't just hug him and walk him back. This isn't Cam Newton we're talking about here.
