Ridley also has the benefit of having Julio Jones pulling double/triple coverage, leaving him generally isolated on a CB.
He wouldn't have that luxury in Dallas

You don't draft players focused entirely on the present. They are future assets. Ridley would star here one day while Prescott's in prison.
so if the Cowboys end up some how drafting a qb like Herbert or whoever, a big arm prolific passer type,
you don't think they could get by with these dudes until they drafted or traded for the #1 receiver -maybe even draft a legit tightend in round 2 or 3?
say Hurns, Gallup, Tavon and whatever else but with a new offensive scheme?

Watched the Falcons/Saints replay again and I cant help but get irritated we didnt snag Ridley, could of easily been done.

I'm still mad about passing on Ramsey roo but that's a different thread..lol

We sure could of used him!
If your QB can not get him the ball why bother taking him.

This offense needs a #1 WR, a #1 TE and a #2 TE to upgrade Swaim. That's just the beginning.

could have taken Kamara or Hunt last year ...

i imagine we would have taken derrick henry in the 2nd if we didn't take zeke 4th overall. but if we could do over i would have taken jordan howard or david johnson in the draft before zeke.

Yep. or D Freeman or Tevin Coleman. Point being is history changes a lot when you make better picks rather than picking for need. If we had grabbed some of these players then your needs change. No way to predict how it would have all played out but its interesting to consider.

zeke hasn't disappointed...ramsey was a need at that point also imo. that's why we should have traded with balt for the extra pick to move down 2 spots. we were afraid of losing zeke but ramsey and a 4th, just in case someone traded up to take zeke at 5 would have been great also.

There were only a handful of us that still liked him enough to take him mid 1st, leading up to the draft.
Were you one of them? I don't seem to recall.

Many were dissing the guy left and right. Typical over analysis of a popular player...imo.

Then there were others that just didn't want a WR of any sort that early this year due to the depth of the position group. That made some sense

Ridley was my favorite WR and I liked him enough to take him in the 1st, but was ok with passing due to the odds of getting a good one later.

There are 7-8+ WRs in this past draft that are going to end up starters in the league

Why do people assume a player has success with one team it automatically means he will have success here, or another team?
Some people have no idea about details like scheme, etc.. Have you ever been to a game and a 3 year old kid is cheering for "his" favorite player? Some people never advance past that stage.

Do we get Julio aswell?....I'm pretty sure Julio takes all the coverage so Ridley is 1v1 all game

Ridley is a superior prospect to Vander Esch. I said it then, I'll say it now. He should have been the pick.

Just because you claim something doesn't make it true, this is a subjective statement.
I don't know if we win any of the games Lee has missed/will miss if we didn't draft LVE. Ridley probably wouldn't do **** here, he only looks as good as he does there because all the attention is on Julio and he's in a high powered offense with Matt Ryan as the QB. My problem predraft with Ridley was how poor of an athlete he is...very very mediocre athlete to be a #1 WR in the NFL. I'd love to see how he does when there's no Julio Jones on the field with him getting all the attention.

Ridley's also injured right now.

Ah, yes. The when all else fails pretend he wouldn't do that here excuse.

Spare me, homer.

BTW, I'm not interested in what your problem with him was. I'm just interested in how good he is.

Ridley has an NFL caliber QB throwing to him in Atlanta ...not so much here
Lets not forget he has arguably one of the top 3 WR in the game on the other side. Other teams have tried to limit JJ and Ridley has made them pay.

We didn’t draft him so no need to dwell on it. This will just be another Cowboys suck thread.
