Very true. We have drafted well recently, but there's no guarantee that the pick will be a Zack Martin or LVE and make an immediate impact. I'd take Cooper over the Claiborne we got.

But still, it is nice to have a 1st rounder.
And I think it's because of the better drafting they felt they could afford to sacrifice a first to get someone that can help the offense now.

With our QB and offensive line, their wont be any stopping us now!

Oh wait, I was thinking of KC.

Never mind.

In the big scheme of things, I'm OK with it. They HAVE to know if Dak is worthy of a long-term deal. He 2020 free agent, meaning they have the rest of this year, 2019 and perhaps one franchise year. I'm guessing 2019 season will be the key...

Just when I get numb to the stupid coaching on the field... They throw in stupid front office moves... To make me feel anger haha.
We are officially the dumbest franchise in the league. What has Cooper done over the past 2 years? We were headed for a top 10 pick where we could have drafted any number of guys. You only spend a top ten pick on a WR like Julio or A.J. Green type.
OMG I’m losing my mind we were setting up for a during and ready to bottom out with cap room coming out of our ears. We could very easily cut bait with Dak. Stupid moronic organization.

So our rookie wide receiver finally shows signs of catching on (3 for 81 and a TD) and being our deep threat and now Jerry decides we need a first round talent??? What on earth were you thinking Mr. Jones??? And to think, I was starting to feel positive about next year already. Sigh...

I don't think this effects Gallup in any way, except maybe positively. Like it or not, Copper is going to demand attention and this should free up Beasley and give Gallup a lot of one-on-one match ups. The question is whether Dak can make the read. He missed two wide open receivers in the end zone yesterday and chose to run. We shall see what happens.

Well, like many here, I'm bummed we decided to give up a 1st round pick. With that said, I do think we got a talented WR that could help open things up. He has flashed what he is capable of. Oakland is a massive trainwreck all around so I'm not taking much away from his season this year. Let's hope a change of scenery is what he needed.

I don't believe for a second this team was going to use their 1st round pick on a QB next year anyways. It quite possibly could have been used for a WR anyway.

I guess, if Dak doesn’t pan out for them next year, you could sign cooper, try and draft Alabama’s QB and have him on a five year deal. I can pretend can’t I?
