My problem with this trade is jerry jones officially thinks were idiots. He thinks he can just trade for a shiny new toy and all of a sudden the fans will get excited and forget about the losing.

Honestly i wouldn't be that mad about this trade if our coach wasn't jason garret. Coaching in this league matter. If we can't win now jerry has no excuse not to fire garret. None!

Love the player. I'm looking forward to the offense with Cooper, Gallup, Bease and Zeke.

But I hate the trade.

Was OK with a second. But a first is premium. And our offensive woes go beyond the guys catching the ball. Ahem, Dak.

I am sorry if you are talking trade for Cooper you begin at where he is now....not where he was two years ago. Can he get back to the player of two years ago? I have no idea. Although presently he is a 600 yard receiver. You don't even get to discussion for a first rounder.

Doubling Beasley will be much harder once he is integrated...I will say that. I definitely don't like giving up a first but he can be a monster if used properly.. that's a big if because of the coaching staff unfortunately.

The 9th overall pick for Cooper...………...not even a noob playing Madden for the very first time would make such a stupid trade as this.

Seriously, this is like the type of trade you propose in Madden and the computer laughs at you.
We would have drafted a receiver at 9 overall. Why would you want to take a chance on a college kid instead of having a proven NFL #1? High price to pay but isn't senseless

What this also does is allow us to get the full read on Dak. If Cooper comes in and plays like a number 1 and Dak still can't perform, then we know what we have in him and can move on ASAP. Without Cooper, it's just another excuse for Dak. We need a definitive answer on him and getting him weapons eliminates that excuse.

The only other one he would have is the coaching staff, and I would love to fire them.

*P.S. This defense, a healthy o-line, Zeke, and a WR group of Cooper, Gallup, and Beasley is a strong team. With good QB play we are playoff contenders yearly with that roster.

I agree with that take.

It allows the best, most fair evaluation of Prescott.

Almost posted this morning, wouldn't Jerry love a big trade right now to distract the restless natives calling for his coach's head? Especially right at the beginning of a long bye week?

The idea being what? To remind us all that he’s the real problem so we should lay off his red-headed step-child?

-----I guess Jerry is going all in on this season.

No, he isn't. All this does is buy The Clapping Carrot another year to fail....and I will be through with this ***** up franchise!!!

Maybe the plan is genius? Sucks balls next year with Dak to get the overall #1 in 2020, Tua!!! Trust the plan

We MAY have overpaid, but consider Philly wanted him for a 2nd rounder:

Imagine him in Philly with all their weapons. :omg:

Jerry didn't let let it happen.

Amari Cooper is a proven NFL #1? I must have missed the last two seasons.

What a cluster #&*@ Stephen Jones is. That's a probable top 10 pick you fool. With any luck they'll throw in Carr.

I like it in principle but there's a reasonable possibility Dak is serviceable to good and it becomes really difficult to say "he's good" or "he's not good". His performance is a spectrum.
