Signed by Cowboys Amari Cooper traded to Cowboys **merged**

There goes any potential of drafting a first round QB if this season doesn't go well and we need one to replace Dak. This trade really better work out and help Dak/the Offense be more productive.

The "Jerry Tax" we pay on every trade is real.
If reports are true that Philly wanted him for a 2nd rounder, Jerry had to overpay. I do not want him in Philly.

Plus, he's a 24 year old 3rd year vet and better than any WR we would have drafted next year.

And we get the rest of this year (and next yesr) to see if Dak is QB1 longterm. If he's not, 2020 will be the year we draft a QB.

All you guys would have been yelling for the Cowboys to draft an unproven WR in the first round next year. You now have a 24 year old #1 WR. I don't think this is that bad of a trade.

I take it you don't watch much Raider football.

Cooper literally has lead the league in dropped passes dam near every year...……….we are talking "hands of stone" card got played on him and it never wore off. Seriously, dude couldn't catch a cold in the Artic.

And on top of that, this is the last season of his rookie contract. Next year is the 5th year option at $14-$15 million and then an UFA in 2020. So this could be a year and half rental.

It's a much higher level of receiving talent than what Prescott had before.

And I refuse to believe that 2016 was a mirage.

The ball doesn’t get itself to the WR. WR is not the problem with this offense. That should be blatantly clear to everybody. Apparently it isn’t...and unfortunately the people that make the decisions for this franchise are in that small minority that think so.

So i guess this means the team is all in with Dak, okay so lets play this out a bit now. Lets say Cooper works out well and thrives here. How do we keep him? money wise i mean.

They weren't going to draft a QB #1 anyway.

You know we just got better right now
I don’t know that. Better as in having one more better receiver...yes. Will be there be an immediate impact to this offense both now, and more importantly in the future? Doubtful.

This is a desperate move from a very poor front office, not a calculated move by a championship front office.

Winicki, you really do have a nice, glass-half-full, optimistic spirit. I admire it. I wish I could duplicate it.

Like I said originally... I'm waiting for the season to play out before I pan the trade.

I am going to save all the expletives. This team is just so dumb. Flat out stupid. Does Jerry not learn? He did this twice and both times ended up in disaster and set this team back. I don't get it. At all. Screw this front office. This will be a top 10-15 pick with how we are playing. And we go and get a guy who drops a lot of passes, was hurt last year, looks disinterested and lazy quite a bit and not only that, he commands a lot of money and will be free after next year.

Jerry and Stephen ladies and gentlemen...
