Man....that sucks. If he would have been told of this move during their bye work, Alexander could have had time to go to a world series game.

In all seriousness, one of the more disappointing things about Garrett for me is he has been pretty poor finding coaching talent. I had hoped with his family in scouting that he would have been able to find unknown guys and groom them. He seems like a guy who would be good at that. So far, I am not sure he has found one guy who looks like a future star in coaching. Not to bring everything back to Parcells but look at the staff he brought in here. Most have gone on to have some success as head coaches or long careers at some coordinator or position coach.
:lmao: on a somewhat related followup ChicagoJk ,in the expressed disappointment of coach GARRETT'S lineage he has established in the ongoing wake of his NFL coaching career, check out his contemporary's " a football life " Bill Belichik,,, the bulk of the "guys" he'd chosen to work with/ groom,,, seized the Lombardi trophy soon after they bailed on him& Cleveland ,when they staffed the expansion team in BALTIMORE, and the stone cold fact of the matter is: were GARRETT to remain in coaching equal to the length of time Belicihk has, the stark contrast in accomplishments will remain the same then as they are nowo_O

We needed a change, but the change didn't have to be personnel. They could have told Alexander what he tried wasn't working, and given him strategic direction on how they'd rather he do it.

Alexander has decades of experience. We didn't make use of those. Now it's Colombo, who has no track record as a coach. Not as bad as the Moore hire, but similar. We promote from within instead of bringing in new people with new ideas which might threaten the established order.

Another win for the Jason Garrett Permanent Employment Plan.

I am so fine with the Alexander firing.

He took our best part of our team and nearly destroyed it.

Did any of us like this hiring?

No.

Just Paul and his wife to get out of those Ohio winters.

Now..

Next..Sanjay

He has showed me nothing since coming here.

And do we really want him teaching our newest toy, Amari Cooper, how to be a better WR?

No?

I thought not.

And lastly Keller Moore.

While we take out the trash..add him please.

These guys have no business on this staff and are only hastening the enviable..

Garrett's firing.

Wait..

that's not a bad thing.

So let's hear it..

Yep it's Garrett and Linehan that need to go. Sanjay I'm ok with as Gallup is developing nicely right now, so I'm wanting to give him more than 7 games.

Has you seen interviews with Alexander? He does not appear to be the type that would easily change based on input from management.

Personality issues were said to be the reason he is not longer with the Bengals.

Any Quiniela you want sir..

Step right up and here and throw this baseball at the redheaded funny looking man and dunk him in the tank.

Or chose the other guy who reminds me of Alfred E. Newman..

What? Me worry ? About my job?

Yes sir..dunk 'em and win a prize.

He has to be running out of excuses though, right? Like if this team finishes 6-10 what possible defense can he have to explain it unless a guy like Zeke goes down?

Jerry's the final decision maker but if Stephen, Will, Jerry Jr. and all the other assorted Joneseses are all unanimous in his ear I'd like to think a change will be made.
Your optimism sickens me.
