realize that those teams are playing on a whole different level then the Cowboys, but they look like they are playing a whole different sport. Garrett and our offense are so stuck in their 80's and 90's style offensive play calling. Garrett is too stubborn and believes those plays work, and that execution beats scheme. When do we ever see out receivers catch a pass in stride and keep running? where is the misdirection?? All our receivers are running curl routes and stop their momentum to wait for the pass and there is no run after the catch. Or offensive play calling is SO predictable because Garrett thinks execution beats schemes. Garrett is too stuck in his ways and learned his stubbornness from Jerry. Jerry is too stubborn to admit todays NFL is a totally different game. As a season ticket holder for 12 years this is the first year I have sold my tickets to every game because I'm not spending any more money on a Garrett Coached team. Today game I couldn't even sell and gave the tickets to someone who had never been to a game. The Demand for Cowboys tickets are way down and this is the ONLY thing that will make Jerry realize his only choice is to FIRE GARRETT.

We as Cowboy fans need to stop buying Cowboy Jerseys, 12.00 hotdogs, 8.00 nachos and so on. Local media need to start calling for Garrett to be fired.

Oh, definitely. Even weeks ago that was clear. It's sort of why I've been able to watch Dallas games with a bit of detachment. Looks needed this season.

Anyone who watched those games saw QB's make throws and reads
that Dak simply cannot, and never has.
While this is true, you can only blame Dak for the past couple of years. Garrett is to blame for the other 5. Romo audibled out of almost every play called which camouflaged Garrett from being a horrible coach. Now there is nobody there to save him from himself.

Excellent points. I watch RedZone for Sunday games and then full matches for night games etc because that is all we get here in Oz but if you watch the good teams play.. you are spot on.. it is a different beast.

The NFL is passing league BUT that doesn't mean you have to abandon the run. As per forever there is a balance between the two. using the run to open up play action, or creating slant routes from schemed picks and rubs. Some of the schemes and plays are unbelievable.

Additionally they all share the common theme of expert QB play. Yes, even Alex Smith. NFL QB needs to be able to anticipate coverage, change at the line, throw receivers open, make perfect back shoulder throws BUT in a new 'wrinkle' it is the work they are doing to scheme YAC that is amazing. Throws that enable a receiver to essentially stay in stride and lead him away from the cover or deep safeties etc.

However for all that to work you need to have a QB who can make the throws accurately MOST of the time. No they won't hit every pass, and I don't think any single person expects them too, but they need to hit the majority. If the CB makes a play, so be it, but the ball MUST be to the spot at least 9/10 times. Second they can't be scared of tight windows. Third they must be able to stand in the pocket and step UP through pressure. Even 'scrambling' type QB's (Wilson, Newton) actually stand in the pocket longer than you expect when not in called RPO. Fourth, you need to create seperation through different looks pre-snap.

We are doing none of the above and we would honestly struggle against college teams right now.

Exactly!! I'm not saying Beasley is as good as Tykeek Hill or Adam Thielan but those guys get the bulk of their yards after the catch. Beasley has to stop and wait for the ball. By then defenses close in on him.

Regardless of if Dak sucks or not, the big picture is, this team hasn't won anything in 22 years, and Dak was barely 3 then. This tells me that this team is helpless no matter who you have on the team.

It was known the cowboys wouldnt be a top team before the season even started.

Worst thing Romo ever did. It enabled him and allowed him in some deluded way to think he was a success when he clearly isn't. I blame Romo for Garrett still being here as much as Jerry.

Its so annoying that we run right into the coverage and run nothing but curl routes. all day long. No creativity and very predictable. He is the worst coach in the NFL by far.

Romo could have spoken up about the terrible scheme. But no. He just played along with it. Yes he was guilty also for not bringing it up. If it was Brady he would be screaming like a little girl about the playcalling all day long.

So we take Amari off the field, line up in a 2 TE package and run the ball. Any idiot could've figured out what we were going to do. And this is Garrett's play book in a nutshell.

Garrett isn't stuck in the 80's and 90's, he just flat out sucks and needs to be gone. The 90's team was good, this team isn't. The 90's team had a great HC. This team has a butt kissing incompetent.

The awesome offenses of those teams? Yeah I sure did!

The day Philly fired Andy Reid I was begging for Dallas to go sign him.

Another huge mistake.

Dak has shown he's not a tier 1 or 2 QB

time to move on

This.

Andy Reid has always been a mad scientist of play calling. The way KC dismantles defenses is crazy to watch.
