Jerry Jones shot down the idea of an in-season coaching change following the Cowboys' loss to the Titans on Monday night.

"No," Jones succinctly answered when asked if there was any scenario in which he would make an in-season change. Even so, his post-game comments painted a picture of a frustrated owner. "I very candidly didn't see this coming," Jones said. "Had we played a lot better tonight and had the loss, then I would be more positive about that." I think they see talent assembled all over the roster by the FO, and expect wins, especially vs average teams like the Titans. It's JG that's holding this roster back, I don't understand how they don't see it.

No choice? Why can't he keep Garrett? Jones doesn't give a rat's behind what the fans want, just last night he said he's not changing coaches mid-season.

Of course that could be like the dreaded "vote of confidence", and he lied through his dentures. And it doesn't address the end of the year.

Fact is there's no way to know what JJ will do, or not do. Anybody who says he'll fire Garrett next week, or in 3 games, or at the end of the season, or after next season, or whatever, is guessing....

Well that depends on how the team does in the next couple of years. If it continues as it has been, probably Garrett's gone in 1-3 years. But if somehow the team manages to get respectable and win a few playoff games/division titles, he might still be here in 5-6 years.

But I suspect Dak's going to be another David Carr - get sacked so much he'll be beat to pieces and physically/mentally just not be able to play...
