Dak/Tebow a qb comparison

at first I couldn’t believe it, but Dak actually compares favorably to Tim

:muttley: Gotcha. Just wanted to show that numbers aren’t always the entire story

This comparison is just like the Cowboys players on defense unreliable (Irving, Gregory) and unavailable (Lee) of accuracy.
See the other poster that posted the same post and my rebuttal.

One thing I'm willing to bet. If Prescott doesn't get more help on offense and/or he never improves and is what he is he'll still be in the NFL as a back up.
Fans can create whatever comparison they want to fabricate, that will be the true test.

I am confused, are you saying the true test is that he will still be in the NFL as a backup? If so you are saying the true test is whether or not he compares with the likes of Brett Hundley, Trevone Boykin, Brian Hoyer, Nick Foles, Alek Torgersen, Connor Cook, Colt McCoy, Jeff Driskel, Sean Mannion, et al.?

I am hard on Dak but that might be a bit harsh. Though admittedly I haven't seen most of them play, so who knows.

Of course I could completely be misunderstanding what you are saying (easy to do in the morning without coffee). If so, my apologies.

Edit: Either way he is much better than Tebow (as a QB).

All I'm saying is that if Prescott either doesn't get help to play better or play better himself he will be a great back up.
I actually think the offense as a whole, from the ground up is below average. And too many are ignoring the surroundings and expecting him to "carry the team."
I am in no way comparing him to Tebow who's not even in the league.

I called Dak coming out of college "a glorified Tim Tebow."
You can't be a leader on the football field if you can't lead your team to victory.
Tebow was an emotional leader, a spiritual leader - one of the best. But his leadership was undermined on the field because he couldn't perform consistently on the field and make the throws needed to consistently win games. And I'm a big Tebow fan.
But he just couldn't throw, he couldn't anticipate open windows in the defense and was wildly inaccurate.
So is Dak.

Both are also outstanding citizens and natural leaders
That are not NFL starting NFL qbs. I like Dak. I think he is a great person and leader. I want him to succeed but the proof is in the pudding. The last 16 games he has not done much. I hope I am wrong and he can turn it around but so far he has not shown me that he can be an NFL qb. I say just let play out his rookie qb and see what happens. This year qb class is not overly great.

Not a bad gig if u can land one. What other college students can get a career right at 23 and earn a couple of million at the minimum for the next 15 years or so. With some smart investing you have become King of all the lands.

I think he ran for 942 yards one year, cannon for an arm and a big kid for sure. 12 or 14 game season btw...

Yup, and completed something like 45% of his passes. Big arm but no one ever knew where the ball was going.

Worse than Eli. Yikes.

I believe both Tebow and Dak have mechanical problems in delivering the ball as well.

I think Dak has obvious deficiencies with a lack of flexibility in his arms and shoulders.
Yeah, I've noticed how stiff Dak was in 2016. Dak just isn't a fluid athlete, which, I think helps QBs a lot. Check out how Wentz moves (post ACL) then look how Dak moves.

Overall, who cares anyway Dak isn't the guy.

Now, all that remains to be done is to convince Jerry and Stephen to accept it. That might take some doing, though!

That was already done, about 100 times. I guess you missed all of those threads where people put Dak's numbers up against Brady and Rodgers and everyone else since the invention of the forward pass and proclaimed Dak the future.

The problem with that now is that the last 16 games are the most recent ones - that's why they are last. Don't worry though, you and Jerry can cling to those first 16 games. Those first 16 and bourbon are the only reason Jerry is talking extension now.
Why don't you go cheer for another team. You sound like a troll.
