RELEASED Cowboys Cut Deonte Thompson

Good. Deonte Thompson was a waste. Never showed up on the field. Poor Dak has had no weapons show up this season. Hope Noah Brown and Lance Lenoir show up. This offense needs all of the help it can get.

I've really been down on Hurns as an overpaid, underproductive #1 WR but he actually could do OK as a hugely overpaid #4 WR. But Brown showed flashes last year as a 21 year old rookie, its entirely possible that he has made significant improvement and could take that #4 WR spot now.

Also Brown and Lenoir have plenty of practice reps with Dak, that should help in whatever number of snaps they do take in games.

That would be nice, shame he was hurt for most of TC/PS. For a guy that was raw out of OSU, practice time is invaluable. Especially nowadays with the stricter rules.
Just hope it's cutting into Hurns snaps, and not Gallups.

And Brown was activated. I don't know why they would bring Lenoir up from the practice squad as well.

I was thinking Brown was already active but just wasn't being put on the game day roster. I had forgotten he was on IR. This does seem a little puzzling, especially after the acquisition of Cooper because we shouldn't be running as many WRs in and out of the game as we were before.

Cooper makes Dak look a lot better,I will say that. I think the dude was open all night except for that int Dak thru. Cooper runs some nice routes.Reminds me of a taller Kevin Williams. He too always ran great routes.

I would have been happy to have him as a 4th or 5th receiver. He seemed to have good hands and I actually thought he probably should have been targeted more. But in the end he's not worth sacrificing a mid round draft pick for.
