social media rants against his former team. Like a freakin woman passing off gossip on a soap opera. That's my issue with him HIS MOUTH. The player,I had no issue with at all. Sean Lee was no saint either. Im not a big fan of social media obviously.
I can respect your point. It is never a good look to bash your former employer.

Love ya Dez but Dandy Don is singing "Turn out the lights the party's over". Time to come home and retire a Cowboy.

Honestly I didn't want to see him play in another uniform but didn't wish this on him.
was thinking the same thing.

Bryant signed a one year contract that includes a base salary of $1.25 million, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter. But with half the season already over, his base salary will be prorated into a total of $600,000. Bryant can also earn up to $500,000 over the rest of the season thanks to potential incentives. NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reports the incentives are related to total catches.

He signed and never got a paycheck.

According to Jane Slater he was running a routine route when it happened.
nothing is ever routine for Dez, he couldn't run a good route ever before, so he was trying to make up for that with his brute strength. over did it though.

I hope he comes back next season and leads the league in receiving
He won’t be back. If it’s the same side he broke his foot and tore his ankle then he is done and be lucky to not walk with a limp for the rest of his life. Sad.

Thanks man. That was kinda my point. Nothing against the player per say...just the other crap that. Burning your bridges NEVER works out positively. THIS , as sad as it is, MAY BE CASE AND POINT. I wish him well.

Dez career might be over. Never was a 4.4. guy to begin with. He plays the game violently. With this kind of injury it's gonna be extremely hard to come back from it unless he totally changes his style of play.

If his career is over, does he get hall of fame consideration?
He will be a HOF GUY at some point. Im thinking in his 2nd go around of elig.

No.

I think he could have had HOF numbers over the course of his career if some things had gone differently for him team wise, but no, based on his current body of work, he's not a HOF candidate.

And for the record I love the guy.

I feel bad for him. I wonder if it has something to do with him not playing in a while or with his football conditioning? If a player hasn't played in a while does that make them a bigger risk of getting injured when they have to get back into football condition through training and everything. Sucks because it would have been interesting to see what the Saints and Drew Brees could have done with him. :(

Football in general is bad for your joints due to all the cutting and stopping.

That's tough man. Hopefully he can bounce back but it's an uphill battle for sure. This is a reminder to other NFL players how quickly your career can nosedive due to many factors.

Poor guy couldn’t even catch a break..

(sorry, I had to).

I wish him all the best in his recovery, but a torn Achilles after age 30 is pretty brutal. Not sure he’ll ever play again.
