I don't think we can know the answer yet. It's always nice to experience a win, but let's see how the rest of the season plays out before saying whether it was a good thing or a bad thing.
It was good. Dallas is still in the race for the East. All that matters is right now.

-----Any victory is a good victory.
Oh really.....how did beating Philly help us last year in Game 16 except drop us in the draft?
True but since none of can see into the future winning is good, especially in a divisional race that is still wide open. Maybe it is just me but I have yet to look back and say I wish we would have lost these games.

As a life long Cowboys fan, there's no team I despise more than the Eagles. I can't stand their players almost as much as their fans (read as: they're both despicable). Needless to say, beating them at their house and hearing their fans cry boos was just about as good as it gets during the regular season.
Immediately after the game ended, I sat there thinking to myself: was this win actually good (or bad) for the Cowboys? Let's face it, we still have a lot of challenges to face even to get into the playoffs, let alone make a run to the SB. Either the Rams or the Saints are going to be the 2018 NFC SB representative unless something shocking happens. Our 2018 ceiling has a pretty hard cap this season (and next assuming the Rams continue to dominate).
But, Garrett's job security definitely did not get worse (Linehan too) and probably improved. IMO, that is NOT a good thing. This guy is like a cockroach - can survive through the toughest conditions by going 8-8 year after year. How can JJ's inkling to fire Garrett get any stronger after kicking some Eagle butt on the road? Seems unlikely.
What has to happen from here on out to ensure that Garrett AND Linehan are gone before the 2019 season?

Bad. This franchise will not win anything until there's serious change. That win doesn't get you any closer to that change.
Garrett is on thin ice, the pressure is really on now. We got our first rd pick this year instead of next years draft and he’s seasoned. We got a top 10 defense, produce or you’re fired.
