Agree completely but here is the thing. Nobody is going to blow us out. Even if it did happen it's not going to happen consistently.

We just play a brand of football that is really a coin flip regardless of who we play.

There is almost no margin for error with this team because of the lack of explosive plays.

The offense could only score 22 against one of the worst defenses in the NFL giving up 27 ppg.

Yes, the defense has improved and seems to be the strength of the team but the name of the game is points. And it is not a shut down defense.

Elliott is playing great and the OL seems to be better; however, our run game is like bringing a knife to a gunfight. Scoring in the low 20's isn't going to get it done.

The reality is that the Cowboys have beaten two 2nd tier non playoff teams with losing records that are pretty evenly matched with them as the scores would indicate. And it is great to put two wins back to back and away at that; however, this team is not a tier 1 team.

It’s hard to go by overall points when evaluating our offense because we play the game at a snails pace and our games don’t have as many possessions.

We scored 22 points on 8 possessions...2.74 points per drive. One of those possessions we really didn’t try to score at the end of the first half. If we backed that out we scored 3.14 points per drive.

Atlanta’s defense entering the game was giving up 2.76 points per drive, so our offense performed right on par with what Atlanta’s defense gives up, when looking at it from a per drive view.

Philly gives up 1.88 points per drive. We scored 27 on 10 possessions, while just trying to milk clock on the 10th possession.

We aren’t a tier 1 team, but worrying about only scoring 22 points on Atlanta when they are giving up 27 isn’t a big deal.

I think you’re underestimating the defense and how much time we waste running the ball.

If we don’t turn the ball over early I doubt they could hang 40 on us unless we got pass happy or something.

If it takes the Falcons 3 quarters to score a TD at home it’s not going to be a walk in the park for any offense.

It is when the team is 5-5 and struggling on offense, which is why they're not a Tier 1 team. They have the Tier 1 defense, so far, but lack the offense and most of the time are a low Tier 2 offense.

I have my suspicion why this is the case. I think there is a lack of confidence from the HC and OC in the QB and the last thing they want is a shootout. They feel they have to keep the games close. We only see the QB in games, they see him at practice and they know the inconsistencies.

There are some QB's that make the offense, we saw two of them last night, but there are some that the offense must make them and we saw that in ATL. Even with Gurley, the best back in the game, they ran that offense through Goff last night The Cowboys must run theirs through Elliott. He is the hub in the wheel, not Prescott.

He isn’t a great playcaller sometimes but he is calling plays from JG playbook. It’s very small and limited.

That's the future they see and will talk of the highest scoring MNF game in history, 3rd highest in NFL history and first with both teams scoring 50 for as long as they can.

I truly believe that if the Bears had a better QB, they could prove you wrong!!!!!!!

However, watching the Jags get repeatedly screwed by the refs in the AFC championship game last year, even if a D was good enough, looks like the NFL wouldn't let them win it all anyway.

Here is the thing with the Cowboys vs teams like the Saints or Rams.

Dallas will do a good job of holding them to 3 instead of 7 and we will hold the ball forever so we will have a chance to win at the end of the game just like we do every week.

The way we play it's going to be hard for any team to put up a lot of points because time will just simply not allow it unless we go down a couple scores early and force Dak to throw but we're playing such good defense that it's probably not going to happen.


Running QB's have been the defenses downfall and Goff doesn't pose that threat and Breese isn't as nimble as he used to be.

I care about passing. We have a stud RB. Our defense is much better than some predicted. Do we have the QB?

The passing offense isn’t good. No doubt about it.

However, if the defense keeps playing like it has been, and the OL keeps creating running lanes for Zeke who is an absolute stud.

Then the team still might have a chance.

The problem is what happens when Woods or Heath bust a coverage against Michael Thomas in two weeks or Alvin Kamara or we lose Ingram on a screen play. What about the same with the Rams where we have Woods,Cooks, Gurley and two athletic tight ends who are crimially underutilized in Higbee and Everett get lose in the deep middle of our defense. And our traditionally abysmal third down defense continues to be terrible. Then you factor in the problems on offense. Goff and Brees can pick our secondary apart this is who we're going to see if this team sneaks into the playoffs. In a wildcard game Aaron Rodgers against our no turnovers creating secondary again. If GB gets the fifth seed as projected right now. I think we get to Cousins if Minnesota gets the 5th seed but if it's Cam Newton or Rodgers I am sweating bullets because we still get torched by the usual suspects mobile qbs, rbs who catch the ball out of the backfield, and teams who spread you out.

Goff has way more weapons than just Gurley. Plus he has an offensive minded coach that knows what he's doing. We don't. Our coaches run the ball because we're a running team. Not a passing team. This offense has been around since Romo and its still the same ole offense. It has nothing to do with lack of confidence in the QB.
