Ah, don't put me in w/ the wingers!!!!!! I am not sold on Dak either way at this point. My guess is Risen's plan isn't to have Fitz be the QB for the next 5-7 years. My guess is he wants Fitz to hold the position and then they pour draft resources into finding the next franchise guy.
As much as you want to hate it, it's not illogical.
All due respect Sydla. There are a few here who do seem to hate Dak.
I wouldn’t say that for most posters. Certainly not you. But there are a few.
Lazy still isn't posting proof I see. It's because the hate is coming from the still upset Romoholics. They hate Dak!
The Jets didn't want Bridgewater..... he is not as good as Dak.....END of STORYWhite is useless. People need to stop clinging onto these late round types as having any real value. The guy is a backup, at best, in this league.
If I can get Bridgewater on a decent deal, he and Dak compete, the rookie sits and learns. Assuming I get Bridgewater for a fairly decent contract, I am not in any financial crunch regardless of who wins the competition or not - Dak or Bridgewater.
My guess is that in a QB starved league someone might get stupid and pay Bridgewater big money.
And FWIW, I don't think there is any chance in hell Dallas would do this. Jerry is going all in on Dak without giving himself any real safety net here.
It's really not.
Bridgewater is a bus driver supreme.
Dak is more of a playmaker who needs some mechanical work and the right pieces around him
You beat me to it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!One day he is, then the next he's a worse passer than Prescott by a large margin.
One game agrees with you the others say he was putting Dez stats last year. Another easily impressed fan I see.Dak is a middling QB with a limited ceiling who has predictably come on since the arrival of new #1 receiver Amari Cooper.
Don't agree. Dak isn't a bus driver yet. He's more like a soso bus driver and a medium playmaker w/ glitches. We really don't know what he is at this point, despite claims to the contrary. What we do know is when we go to a quick hitting O, Dak does much better. When Linny starts making him take 5 and 7 step drops, Dak doesn't do so well. They are both bus drivers.
Dak has only completed one ball 20 yards downfield in forever it seems. Cooper took two balls 90 and 40 yards, and Dak STILL didn't break 300 yards. Hasn't once this season, in fact. Mahomes has done it every single game.
Eventually, he's going to have to consistently be able to go downfield if this thing is ever going to be a legitimate contender.
I want to see Dak with a new coaching staff before making a final judgement on him
LameI love when I'm asked a plan now when my plan was never to acquire the stiff.
Release him after the season. Target Bridgewater or even Fitzpatrick and look towards the draft. You will be better off in the long run.
This is why when you're picking at 4 with a franchise QB prospect number 1 on your board and the 1st and 2nd picks are up for trade you go up and get the guy. You don't watch rivals do it while you draft a RB.

The intention is for this not to be another typical Dak thread. This is for the contingent fans that are ready to move on from Prescott as the QB of the Dallas Cowboys. Instead of debating Dak’s merits (or lack thereof) again, let’s operate under the supposition that we’re moving on, as that is the cry from so many.
So, the question is how do you do so and who is the target. Obviously the two options that exist are free agency and the draft.
2019 Free agents QBs: ................ 2019 probable Draft QBs:
Tyrod Taylor ........................ Justin Herbert, Oregon.
Josh McCown ........................ Drew Lock, Missouri.
Teddy Bridgewater ........................ Will Grier, West Virginia.
Ryan Fitzpatrick ........................ Dwayne Haskins, Ohio State.
Robert Griffin III ........................ Ryan Finley, NC State.
Derek Anderson ........................ Clayton Thorson, Northwestern.
Geno Smith ........................ Jarrett Stidham, Auburn.
Brock Osweiler ........................ Tyree Jackson, Buffalo.
Matt Barkley
Tom Savage
Taylor Heinicke
Brett Hundley
Trevor Siemian
Obviously some of the Draft picks will be out of reach without our #1 pick. Additionally, you can pretty much guarantee you’re not going to win a championship with a rookie. It’s an investment that takes time.
On the FA front, there may be a few QBs that are available with a trade. Possible Carr, maybe Winston.
So what’s the plan ladies & gentlemen?
ROFL... sooo, the great Romo rears his head once again. You apparently haven't watched the YT of the great Tony tossing INT's like they were marshmellows at a camp fire...as for any of the schulbs mentioned by the OP, I wish they would go grab one, any one, doesn't matter, go get one of these 1 game legends and hell give him the starting Qb spot... yeah I so hope we do that next season..... His foundation has to be correct for him to throw. He has to step into the throw. Simple really, but this fanbase got used to Romo hanging by a toenail and throwing underhand. His delivery point could be one of many, and he was accurate with all of them. Dak has to follow through on his delivery, which means his foot work is at a premium.
Cooper has helped Dak simply because he's the type of WR Dak needs, a sharp route runner. I would imagine that Cooper's skillset didn't fit w/ Carr, though I definitely do not know the particulars. One game agrees with you the others say he was putting Dez stats last year. Another easily impressed fan I see.

Dak is a gamer with no real arm talent. If the NFL is determined to go the Saints/Chiefs/Rams route, that won't get it done.Don't agree. Dak isn't a bus driver yet. Every Dak thread does on both sides so you sir are correct.W/o reading further, I bet this has already become a typical silly Dak thread w/ the same ol' posters posting the same ol' drivel!!!!!!
yet you want to set Dak free.....................DurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrAn average starting QB who then went on to light up the preseason and is still only 26 years old.
It's not often that a 26 year old possible franchise QB becomes available in free agency.
