Play Calling is the Main Nemesis of this Team

Linehan/Garrett went back to their boring, vanilla predictable ways. The plays they call take way to long to develop and the defense knew who was gonna get the ball. They certainly did not want Zeke to beat them. Now Dak had the hot hand. Yet we kept going with these long developing plays. We left points on the field. Not because of Dak. But because of our shoddy playcalling.

go play with your toys and have a bowl of cereal

Agreed. But the deep ball is missing. I think they don't feel they can trust Dak in this regard.

To me it's handling pressure. That's on both Dak and the Oline.

Dak completed 18 straight passes at one point. If it weren't for all the sacks, fumbles and I think 2 holding penalties the game is not even close.

The one problem I have is Dak taking these sacks. So they know he's taking sacks, the onus should be on getting out of the pocket and having quick reads in case you get pressure. He didn't take sacks like that when he had Witten. We need another Witten, I know it's better said than done, but he needs a second outlet to go to in these cases.

Dak is not good with the deep ball. But that's still on coaching. Deep ball passing can be taught. Dak needs to put more air on his ball. Coaching, if done correctly can fix it.

play structure as well. There are some routes that are run that just take forever to develop

This actually isn't true....he's missed a couple lately but in his career WHEN he's gone deep he's been pretty damn accurate.

His fumbling is officially an issue now.

Agreed. We are 95% predictable. If we’re going to run Zeke when everyone in the stadium knows it’s coming ... at least put a fullback in there in a Power I.

Thats because the players are running routes that take too long to develop. WE should have a hot read route runner on all plays where Dak can audible to or change the play. Dak doesn't have the luxury of changing plays. He has to run it as is. Thats the coaches fault. Not Dak.

It's hard to be consistent with the deep ball when you only throw .5 per game on average.

We can be successful if we would take shots but it's like we only take a deep shot to use as the "dagger" kill shot so the results are very inconsistent.
