Not surprised but I am. Was expecting McCarthy to be replaced AFTER the season, not during. Give Green Bay credit for "pulling the trigger" already...wow. Now, I have been saying the Cowboys need an experienced QB coach. Also, would love a better OC, so a person like McCarthy would be awesome. But he will be snatched up soon but a team and he could even he a chance at the Cleveland Browns job

McCarthy had a decent run in GB, but he was overdue to be purged. He wouldn't be on my list to replace Garrett.

Can you recall a head coach being fired the same day as his last game? I can't. It leads me to believe there's some real friction there beyond a head coach struggling to win games. That's a complete sign of disrespect to me.

Well there has been friction between coach and qb. Some say Rodgers has been underperforming on purpose to speed up the dismissal of McCarthy.

It has been no secret that Rodgers and McCarthy were not getting along. The way this abrupt firing went down has Rodgers influence written all over it.
