When the FO tells the Press and team they don't need a #1 WR, after the team tried to get a #1 WR and failed, and struggled without having a #1 WR to the point of trading a first round pick for a #1 WR...Of course the Teams QB is going to toe the company line.

I agree with this. He left about 10 points on the board in the saints game. He also missed two touchdowns the last two two games, gallup and brown.

I think Aikman himself said he didn't have to do much and essentially just manage the game, considering the talent around him. As long as it leads to a W, I don't think it matters. Tony, who i love, was flashy and more exciting, but i'm willing to bet he would've loved to have played that way if it meant him winning a championship.

By these numbers alone, this is probably the worst season by a qualifying Cowboys starter in 15 years. But I suppose other than that, you could say he’s been brilliant...

It's not just the Red Zone, though. Too many stalled drives. I think, though, some may be the playcalling. They try to force the run in the second (which I agree with to a point), but it leads to more 3rd & longs when Zeke gets stuffed.

I'd like to see the splits on the 1st down run / pass percentage in the first half vs the 2nd.

He certainly is. Taking into consideration the pressure he’s been under, the lack of a viable #1 WR until 5 weeks ago, the injuries on the offensive line, he’s done an excellent job. He’s a warrior. Give him a good TE, another good WR and a 3rd down back and watch this offense explode.

Don't forget who is OC is and how much if a disadvantage that is.

Dak has 14 Passing TDs and 5 rushing TDs. 19 in total!

He has had only 5 interceptions and 4 fumbles.

His accuracy(66.8) is very similar to his rookie season (67.8)

His yards per attempt (7.3) is also very similar to his rookie season(8).

I know we haven't finished this year, but i'm very excited to see how Dak, Coop, and Zeke do with an entire offseason together NEXT year. I give Dak a lot of crap, but he has really turned it around when we needed it the most.

He has 11 fumbles. 7.3 is very far from 8.

Technically you both are correct, your original post said he had 4 "fumbles" not "fumbles lost", it is true that he has 11 fumbles this year. That is a undeniable fact.

You are however correct when you said he only lost 5. So, while both number stated are technically facts, the wording you used was somewhat off (fumbles vs. fumbles lost) in the post he was replying to. Semantics I know, but still true.

While I understood where you were coming from I wouldn't call someone out for a contextual error.

We've had 328 1st down plays this season.

177 rushing attempts and 136 pass attempts. That doesnt paint the full story because that does include sacks(15), and I dont know how many rush attempts were passing plays that Dak rushed out of.

Withiut going through every 1st down play and tallying them up, idk how I can seperate between the 1st and 2nd half. Sorry
