Zach Ertz has to be stopped? Eagles suck, Dallas needs to go medieval

Need a bigger CB like brown on ertz and put lewis/heath on sproles duty all night. What we need is pressure from the front 4 early and often. Hit wentz with only rushing 4 and we should do well. Woods had better help awuzie cover tate over the top, let jones manup a bit more on that left side.

would love 31 on ertz but not possible with the formations they run.
love LVE or jaylon on him whenever possible but takes away from their aggressiveness against the run.
he is the only matchup i worry about.
yes tate looks better but WRs you have to cover with CBs

I thought Dallas could switch between Wilson, Lewis and Heath and always play him with press-man. Would you line up Byron Jones against him? He can't have a free release. What do you guys think?

The Hot-Boys need to go medieval on Wentz. I want to see him face down on the turf on every play.

But they STILL lost........I don't see the problem. Give him his until they get in the red zone. The focus on taking him out. He's not getting behind any of our DBs. Yea he had a super game but wasn't enough.

Someone posted earlier about dogging him with Byron. He's had past success against TE's and Ertz. Not a bad play but Richard tends not to do that. We've been torched by a few good TE's this year. Hope Sunday isn't another torching and we reign holy terror on the Gals.

Yes, I was going to include the "not Wilson" bit. Remember McCoy to Vernon Davis through Wilson for 55 yards to the house. Davis is a tad faster than Ertz tho

I agree. Getting pressure on Wentz will be the key. I hope the secondary will repeat their performance against the Saints.

Yep, they don't have much in the way of a running game that can beat the Cowboys. I think Byron can pretty much lock down Jeffries and I doubt they are beating us with just Agalore.

Dedicated man coverage on Ertz. Byron or Jaylon. Jaylon probably makes more sense.

Ertz isn't running away from either of those guys.

I said the same last game. Our refusal to do it was simply pig headedness. 14 catches. Get a clue. I don't care if it "messes with our system". He was their offense. Stop him. We used to do exactly this with Byron all the time. Why do we always stop doing things that work, and pigheadedly continue with the things that don't?

Just put Byron Jones on him one on one. Put Lewis on Sproles. Then were good to go.

Ertz is going to get his. He is a talent on a crappy team. Dallas needs to play the fundamentals and have absolute effort on both sides of the ball. I agree with the LOS disruption. They get Wentz uncomfortable.. They will be in good shape. The Cowboys just can't play down to the Eagles level.

That's kind of a problem tho. One thing that has annoyed me about the JG era is the Cowboys will play at the level of their opponents. So they play good teams like the Saints and they play well. They play bad teams like Titans and they play bad. This isn't a Garrett bashing post, just more of an observation. I hope we come out with the same intensity as we did last Thursday. We do that and we win regardless of how good Ertz is.

It's not bashing, it's a fact. You are correct. Garrett led teams in the past have played down to the level of their opponent. Hopefully , Garrett can have this team ready to play Sunday. The players need to realize this ain't over by a long shot.
