Baggage? How so? He’s certainly not a diva. Good team guy whose teammates love. As a WV fan I hate he’s not playing but I can understand and appreciate why. I’m sure if it was a more important game he’d play.

Baggage PEDs for one, also I’ve read tell that he and his family are a huge pita to deal with.
Being the leader of your team all year and then bailing on them for the final game is pretty crappy. I get the reason but I don’t think it’s the right thing to do.

Why wouldn’t we want to upgrade the most important position? We are a franchise QB away from being a legit SB contender. Go get us one Jerry!

I used to think that way but if we lose this game because of Dak and we don’t make the playoffs I wouldn’t be surprised if we did draft one.

Not gonna happen ..its a weak QB draft...we need TE & S help ..not GB pnna start over and take 2-3 to develop another QB

Yep, Stephen/Jerry/JG will talk up Rush and 5th round pick White.
Shultz n Jarwin played really well today, add a premium pick TE to this group and the 12 personnel could do damage.
On topic, Like Will Grier's accuracy, anticipation n attitude (some say Moxy). Looks like he will be ok in the league.

Zero issue with this decision.
These universities make money hand over fist off the back of these players and bowl games. Let that man protect his future by not playing in a meaningless bowl game. His season was already over when WVU didn’t win the B12 or make the playoff.

I get what you are saying but sponsors spend a lot of money for these bowls. If all of the marketable players decide to sit, it's going to impact their bottom line. Something's going to have to change.

Yeah, you’ve gotta make the games meaningful again. Nobody cares about the Belk or Gator or even the Rose Bowl anymore if it doesn’t have anything to do with the playoff. Not saying that’s right but it’s the reality.
Players who are going to play professionally have no reason to risk their health playing for free in meaningless games regardless of how much the sponsor spends to host the game.
