It’s not just the play calling. We have enough talent on offense to be a lot better. The offense itself, especially the route trees for our receivers needs a complete overhaul. Starting with the exit of Linehan.

I think Garrett will be back and I have mixed feelings about that. I wish the end-of-the-game clock management was better and I think he is partly responsible for the offense, but I do like the culture of this team and I have to give him credit for that. We get a better OC in here next year and hopefully Richard comes back next year and we will be set.

That's the thing that's always frustrated me about Garrett and now Linehan I guess. They seem so stuck on this "just beat the guy in front of you" mentality... I remember hearing stories or being on sidelines where a coach would be like "what are you seeing out there?" And if a WR or QB would say "they are sitting on the stop routes every time" there would be an adjustment to take advantage of it...

I am so sick of seeing the WR's run out and stop after around 10-15 yds. How is anyone supposed to get open? No wonder Romo threw to Witten all the time.
